DIY with Quantum Boards

I wired it back up parallel it works, It's a lot brighter than I expected. Wonder why they say to wire it in series on there site?
Yeah they really should explain it better I think that kit just came with the 288 originally. The 304 is higher voltage but needs less amps

Because we sent out a few drivers that need to be wired in parallel as all distributors ran out of 1050 drivers. Same wattage and drive current just different wiring.

I just received four of your QB324 V2 boards. They look great -- fast shipping too! Thank you!

Couple quick questions about your QB96 Elite V2's -- It states max 4200 mA with SSTX Heat sink + thermal pad -- how many watts would 4200mA translate into? If I can afford to, I'm thinking about maybe pairing each QB324 board that I just received with a QB96 V2. I'm assuming if you wanted to run two QB96 V2 boards from one driver you would need to run in parallel to reach 4200 mA approximately? Maybe the HLG-480H-54?

Thanks for your help!

4.2 amps x ~55 volts is ~230 watts. I wouldn't run more than 200 watts passive. adding a fan blowing on each heatsink and you'll be fine. Yes, constant voltage to get that current level. the HLG-480h- 54A would probably work for 2. Personally I think 2 on a meanwell HLG-320h-C2800 is about perfect.

Okay great. I don't know a lot about parallel, but I'd like to run at a higher power level than 2800 mA (which appears to be only around 150 watt). To run at that wattage I'd probably just get another QB 324 V2 instead. I wouldn't mind running a clip on fan over the tops of the LED heights. If I purchased the dimmable function option B types to utilize a dimmer could I also wire a 12v computer fan to lay on top of the heat sink as well? I supposed even with the HLG-480h- 54B I could dim the power back slightly, right?

Lastly, it looks like these need to be secured on to a frame type fixture. Am I wrong? If not, what do you suggest?

Thanks for your help!

What driver is needed to run 3 324 on a triple slate 2 heat sink?
How hard do you want to run them? I've read that these boards can be pushed a little harder with their only limitation being the heat sinks. They'll do 3200 max mA

I'm going to run two of these boards on a HLG-320H-C2800A so 2800 mA.

You could pick up the HLG-480H-C2800 and run them each around ~155-160 watts per board. If you want to back things down a bit, you could do HLG-320H-C1750 (1750 mA) or HLG-480H-C2100 (2100 mA). @Stephenj37826 would be one of the best people on here to guide you on that.

Good luck!

Thx bud i'll order one more 324 plus the triple heat sink and that driver... thx again bud

now realize the spectrum is 3500k the two i already got nichia... still can work?
Oh wait, these aren't the HLG boards? I've really only researched the HLG QB's. Not saying nichia isn't decent, just don't know anything about them.

I got my 4 x QB324 V2's with version 2 sinks! Yay. Want to get a handful of those QB96 Elites with COB's and red's wowa!

Take a look: (props to HLG)

Will be adding them to these:

Props to HLG. @Stephenj37826 I'm looking forward to hearing your response on my message above re: the QB96 V2's! Thanks

Guys I 've purchased 48 unit of Samsung 561c led boards. 24 of them. so in total, it should be equivalent of 6 unit 288 boards. But ım indecisive about the driver. Do I have to use Meanwell drivers? Cant I use cheap aliexpress drivers?

For example

would 12 unit of 50 watt led driver 24-36v 950 ma driver drive my system efficiently? (not as in cost of electricity but brigness(as in PAR assuming alibaba boards are using real leds) of the light). the cost of freight for Meanwell is not bargain price. I am trying to replace it with something that could be find locally or something that could be found on Aliexpress. As you can understand i am a noobie on the subject. I would highly appriciate any advice that could help.
