I think the writer Victor Hugo mentioned about sewers being liquid gold as a few authors had, some Japanese farmers visiting a city would come home carrying loads of shit, hey we all have shit, I know the pluses I've read them, I just don't feel comfortable consuming my own shit, an alien will look at this thread and go wtf it's 2021.

People use human shit and piss all over the world as fertilizer. That doesn't mean I'm going to. I'm not collecting shit and piss to process into fertilizer. That's just disgusting.
Much of the sludge left over from sewer treatment plants ends up as soil amendments. Kellogs had it in some of their products until they faced significant backlash over it and have since stopped using it.
3. Do any of your products contain bio-solids/sewage sludge?
Of the 300+ products we produce, four products once contained biosolids. Since we have moved to register all of our products to be compliant with the USDA’s National Organic Program (NOP), none of our products contain bio-solids/sewage sludge in any form. Bio-solids/sewage sludge is a prohibited ingredient under USDA’s National Organic Program. All Kellogg Garden Organics and G&B Organics branded products are approved by the California Department of Food and Ag Organic Input Materials (OIM) program and listed with the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI). No product with an OIM seal or OMRI seal on the bag may contain bio-solids/sewage sludge.

The N. Koreans use the poo poo because they used to be supplied chemical fertilizer from the USSR. Once the Soviet Union collapsed they were forced to come up with another idea and had no resources besides human waste. I wouldn't doubt if that's where the Chinese got the idea.

I had a friend who once managed to unload a turd with an estimated total unbroken length of 12". He was sure it must be a world record or at least really close. This was before digital photography and he came to my house to get me to drive him to buy a roll of film to document it, "before it dissolves".
I also gave him a ride to pick up his photos and to this day I regret not going into the store with him and seeing the interaction with the person who developed the film.

Per usual, I have not read the thread. But I've used pee as a veg fert for years. A cup or two in a five gallon bucket of water works wonders. Stop when flowering starts.
I would treat human shit like any shit. Compost for a couple three years and it should be fine. Most composting toilets use sawdust or leaves anyway. Let it sit long enough and it will be ready to go in the garden.
Mamma always talked about when she was a kid, the shit house tomatoes being the best they grew. For those who don't know how outhouses used to work, you would dig a hole, build a outhouse over it, then shit in it until it filled up. Then they would dig a new hole and either move the outhouse or build a new one. The tomato seeds in the shit sprouted and grew at the site of the old outhouse. My compost pile does the same thing, minus the shit.
