So ill make a small 6 x 4 space where ill be growing within the 6 x 8 shed and insulate it very well using 2 x 6's framing(2 x 6s are needed for r 30 insulation) for the insulated 6 x 4 space.. So with my exterior siding being a bright white (Heat reflection) great insulation and sealed environment. I should be able to control my environment.

That is the idea I had , maybe some of you got something useful out this.

I put my grow room in the shed. If you have the money, good insulation is worth it. I paid for it (1100$) to have closed cell spf sprayed on all the walls and roof of my shed. I had 82 degree weather the other day and my temps had 0 changes from colder weather (I also have a minisplit/70 point dehumidifer/and co2 gen in there, so I wouldn't expect much to change.) The real difference is where I expected the hot weather to change my bill by causing the AC to work harder. Almost 0 difference in the bill over the past 60 days (hopefully that continues. It's a new setup). The spray foam sealed the room extremely well. Co2 gen wasn't running until last week since ppms never dropped enough after I'd spend time in the room. Literally stayed stuck in the 12-1500 range without help. I did 0 insulation to the floor (so far).

Costs money but if the shed is a permanent feature, the investment is worth it.

Hmm, I am about to start my first run in a 10ftx6ft tent I made, and I honestly am not even thinking of getting close to 3 lb. I do have a silly goal for myself of trying to get 1lb the first try, but even if I get half of that, I really don't care I just need to learn. Not knocking big goals, just trying to be realistic.

OK i been busy so I could not reply soon, but thanks for all the advice I read through about 60% of the new comments there was sure a lot of them but ill finish them after this message. Here check this out its the material I got ( $530 bucks at home depot). Basically im making a 8 x 4 x 6 tall shed that will be filled with 3 dwc totes (18 gallon). Intake fan with filter and exhaust fan with carbon air filter. , DIY air cooler from this guy on on youtube
@Mikenike gotchu bro. That diy air cooler will be in a good cooler so the cold lasts, then insulate it in a box and fix everything compact , then run then fan to a duct and into my grow space, .. Led lights I have a 480 watt kingbrite and a 240 watt kingbrite both with infared(660nm reds), uv and 3000k light warmth , I also got 3 mixjoy led lights that are 150 watts each and have these specs check it out... That will be supplemental light if I need them. Oh for veg 12 strips of 6000k or 6500k I forget but I need to order them because there like 80 for them all and Ill have some 2 x 3/s to frame these up with to make it span the whole shed. Oh and I got radiant barrier for the reflective walls but I also have a bright white primer to reflect the light off the shed. A canopy I may buy too just for shade , it has not been hot here in south cali yet but I hope this deep solar minimum works in favor of my first grow lol.

That was good advice that @Snob gave the OP. Pest prevention should be a top priority if someone is looking to have a successful grow. And if the OP is pulling fresh air from outside as he plans to (he did mention an intake filter in his original post), running that air through a HEPA filter before it enters the grow space will go a long way in helping to keep pests out of there (and as he may know he also needs to be careful when/if he brings in new clones and of course with what he brings in on his person).

Speaking of unforeseen shit (in addition to being invisible without substantial magnification) , have you ever seen the damage that broad mites and russet mites can do to an indoor grow?

Man I am gonna seal the grow area so good and I even got vinyl flooring.. Trying to take the necessary precautions im aware of and I think a lot of people have helped already.

Dont know why this brought literal joy to me after you said that. Im gonna enjoy being in the garden. And since ill have a good 6 months of time to do stuff ill be attentive and home all day.. (: I been smoking on some skywalker og , gorilla glue #5 , fireeeeee

Check out my most recent post , and look at the youtube video. That DIY is simple and under 100 bucks, with 50 degree winds coming out the fan at 20mph, he has updated versions of it too if you check his channel. Oh and it can also be used as a heater if you got hot water but I dont trust using a water heater unmonitored what do you think? But even the heater put out 115 degrees F thats crazy. obviously it needs to warm up but he had a big ass room an he mentions how it warms up nice. So just a suggestion because it runs off less than 300 watts... your ac bill will lower

UPDATE: I dont have pictures because I forgot to take them but I will take pictures on my progress on the shed. I got the foundation , base for the shed now I need to build the walls and I finished one of them today but ill finish this in 4 days tops.. Oh and my lights, it took less than 2 weeks for my light to get here, im to lazy to check but if I had to guess id say a 10 days total from china to my door in Cali. Oh also I am doing a diy air cooler I found from a youtube video ill let you guys know how well that works because the guy said it cooled down his 12 foot room that makes me happy knowing I have a 8 x 3.5 x 6 shed(length , width , height)

Ok I will have pictures today of shed 80% done. Its a lot of work when your by yourself, and luckily its been pretty cloudy weather so the sun has not been out much so I been trying to get this done asap. Also where do you recommend I get my seeds from? Northern lights and critical kush would be the plants id like to grow but im open to suggestions if the strain is: INDICA, high yielding, high thc, stoney couch lock feeling, dont grow to tall. Thanks again oh an here are these pictures of my progress so far

So your shed is only 3.5 for wide??? Why are you building it so narrow?? It should be twice that size to be worth building it.

Its 3.5 feet wide cause thats as wide as I can do in my narrow alley like path I'm building on, you cannot see but its about 4.5 feet wide but an AC unit is hanging out reducing my width to 3.5 at 6 feet tall... Oh an I already got my phresh intake filter it came in today. Thanks for the tipp
