Anyway, if anyone has been keeping tabs finally Red Hot Cookie is almost done. She has done beautifully under 2 Mars Hydro Ts-600s. Her journey started with the giveaway that started around the first of the year, continued through the last giveaway, and will finally be done during this giveaway20210513_212239.jpg

Has anyone ever had the stalks of their trichs turn black? She's still healthy, but this looks...odd can't seem to get a good pic of it sorry.
 
Well that was the last picture of her. I didn't think to get a shot before I started cutting. She wasn't much different from what you see. I had to clean my snips 4 times, but a nice little scissor hash pancake. I'll get a shot of her all laid out after dinner.
 
It looks better in person but, here she is, and a few choice buds

Sorry was on vacation from growing but I’m getting back at it. New journal will be started in the very near future.
 
Disastrous update. I was hoping to give a harvested, dried and cured weight but, thanks to 8 FREAKING days of rain the entire harvest molded. Yeah we're only talking a qp, but DAMNIT! I have a couple buds that weren't with the rest so at least I'll get to give a smoke report.

Ah shit.. sorry to hear this.. is there anything you can do to still put some of it to use?
 
I don't know, I was able to save the trim, and I had about 7 grams of larf set aside that didn't mold so only a 90% loss. I've wondered about an everclear extract, that'll at least kill the mold. Was thinking maybe mct caps, decarb should kill it also and then the introduction to the body is in stomach acid. Safety redundancy? I'm just not sure.

If it's mold just trash it all man, spores will be in everything and you can't clean it. It sux but not worth the risk to your health imho.
 
That's what I'm leaning toward. I've still got plenty of other strains that are good and I do have that little quarter to let cure up. Her trim was frosty as all get out, so I should get a decent amount of bubble from it. Thinking about making a drying box. I've got a drying rack/net thing that seemed to take forever to dry but gave it the airflow to avoid mold. Maybe integrate a carbon filter to keep smell down and put the exhaust fan on a humidistat, passive intake with allergen filter, ok going to have to post it when I get it going. I've got some time, my next one up for harvest is Bloody Skunk in a month or so. Then wedding cake should be ready about the end of July. I love perpetual.
 
Well I burnt it, in a fire pit. Couldn't rationalize the potential health risks for my wife. And didn't want anyone getting sick because of me.onto the next one
