I haven't compared my tests to the data sheets, cree has a good calculator tool on thier website to see performance in lumens. One of the problems with all companies is binning and the bins change alot, the only way to know for sure is to test a product each time a new batch is received or check things against the exact same bin so you know what it will be next time. Cutter will give me more strips to test when they can, it is difficult for them to stop production to make a few strips for testing. I am over the way I have been treated by admin on here so I will be showing results on another forum for now, they don't want someone like me on here that can really help you guys out and that is clear by the way they refuse to tell me how long and why they have singled me out to place restrictions on my account.

Like everyone else they probably go off the data sheet, Cutter are happy for me to conduct independent testing and that's the only way to know for sure how something works in real life. I need to do more tests of other brands. I was at cutter today having a talk with Mark, Cree is going to be releasing some very good products this year, I was pretty surprised by some of the sneak peak data, they are going to put osram to shame with the new 660nm.
Wow, cree crushing osram squares! Nice, looking forward to seeing what they bring.

So here's my 2 cents worth on best performance vs price.
https://www.cutter.com.au/product/ssk-1560-35cr/
They are 3500K and 80CRI (a proven performer).
At 30 watts and 700 ma you get 191 lumens/watt for about 2.8 umols/J.
Or about 84PPF for $9.65 USDs.
I know what you're thinking, "Have you actually used them?"
Yes. I bought 6 of them and they work great.
Anyone beat that performance per dollar?
I happy to see you confirm these. I was very skeptical, seemed too inexpensive. But yeah, im going to grab a few to test . Amazing price.

I like your setups. I'm debating on swapping out my 660w rig with the 6 sunboards and 12 fb562b's 560mm out with some 1120mm ones. I have the 560nm length ones turned cross ways. The short way. But I feel like using more strips run softer I'd get better yield than with say 5 or 6 1120mm length ones turn long ways. But maybe not.
It is not impossible, I have never tried that... My plan is to move into grow tents or boxes, the lights will be fixed to the roof, and the floor of the trays will move up and down. anyway, the 4ft strips play better with tents.
I can carry a tray with large plants around very easily as there is no media in, it weighs almost nothing.

OK, I looked at the logistics.... assembling the strips widthwise over the tray leads to issues with the physical construction.
With say 3 strips lengthwise over a 2x4, you only need 3' long connectors to string the three strips together. I use simple 8mm thic threaded rod to stick my pieces together

If you used a bunch of 2' strips and stacked them the length of the tray, you would need a very significant frame member to prevent the whole long construction drooping.

Are the Bridgelux Gen 3 equal to the F-series Samsung that ANC uses to get those ridiculous yields?

Reviving the thread since I was wondering what are the top strips currently or are they the same F series still holding it down?

Thank's for your time.

All white leds in same colour temp and cri will grow the same. Difference is in how much electricity they use to produce a certain ammount of light.
