Do you count flowering from 12/12 switch or when you see pistil hairs?

So when should I start counting on my outdoor?
The day you plant it I guess lol. It’s done when done. I’ve got 4 Quebec gold and they are all different with one almost done and one just starting to bud up. Indoor I count from flip but it’s only for curiosity as again it’s done when done, quicker if I’m running low ;).

Why would you count a plant as flowering when it’s not flowering? 12/12 switch is not flowering. Thats the first fucking day of transition. Nothing flower about it.

now I understand keeping count is a tad easier from day of flip. But you have to re consider your flowering time as well when giving advice to people to let that piece of knowledge in. Your talking about a whole 2 week difference there.

indoors. I count when I start to notice my cluster form. Like when it’s obvious. Not buds yet no. But small cluster of pistils. That’s day 1

Outdoors. Fuck that. All my counts are guess work. That’s mostly for people to read or give an idea where I’m at in flower. I really don’t know. Better that way.

Should probably just stop counting. Makes life easier. Just wake up one day. Look at yer lady friends in the tent...ask them....hey you done yet....and go from there.

Not done no worries. Ask again next week.

They done. Pick a time when you can get it done in the near future. No rush. It ain't going to explode if you don't.

10 weeks to flower any plant in my books. That’s a perfect time Frame. At least don’t expect anything less than 10 weeks unless you hunt it yourself for that specific reason.

I stopped counting a long time ago.
There's really nothing to count.
Plants don't go by calendar days, only people do.
That's not totally true. We used to grow peaches, apples, and other fruit. We would know, through experience, that a certain variety of peach, for example, would always be ready for a first pick at 153 days from full bloom. Of course that was used as a guide, but we could have always made the first pick at 153 days and not been wrong. The better one is degree growing days. We use that for bugs.
It's amazing to me that to a certain degree I can rely on the days cannabis breeders quote for indoor to determine where I'm at with that cultivar outdoors. Again, experience matters.

I count from 12/12 flip, and when theyre done, theyre done. I dont go by what the breeder says usually. I pick them with all of the trichomes are milky, and as few amber as possible.
