Dry fertilizers in Canada

Just reading some more 200ppm is 200mg of N per 1L of water. Cannabis requirements is 125-200 from reading. Not sure why they are referring to 200ppm of N, are they saying don't go over 200ppm? This is the label for MJ Grow https://msds.plantprod.com/document/1485 I'm guessing as long as you're with in the required N requirements of cannabis just feed the appropriate PPM/EC for what ever stage the plant is at.

Guess will have to send them an email on what they recommend for small rec/med users.

Now that I have burned my veg plants, I must admit there is a little confusion for me.
In all the literature they are talking about 200 ppm N etc.
200 ppm seemed low, but they seem to be talking about the N. I have no way to measure just N, I can only measure the entire PPM.
They instruct you in grams too. this is where i got confused and burned my plants.
They say .8 to 1.2 grams/litre grow is 100-150 ppm N in reality one gram per litre of grow is 970 total ppm or 1.9 ec
gram litre boost is 820 ppm or 1.6 ec
gram litre bloom is 850 ppm or 1.7 ec
gram litre cal kick is 810 ppm or 1.6 ec
gram litre finisher is 640 ppm or 1.3 ec

in comparison mega crop gram litre was 730 ppm or 1.4 ec

I don't know what numbers I should be shooting for here.
Hey realmeduser , I never read all your posts so I'm not exactly sure what your mixing all, but if your trying to mix all from scratch like 6 pack i'll try and help, I've been mixing/formulating nutrient recopies for probably 25 years. I've been on every end of the spectrum on what to do and what not to do lol, what works and doesn't and myths that people think you need to follow, I've done them as well.

In simple terms here is my opinion on mixing nutes , individual ppm is not nearly as important as ratio balance from one nutrient to another example N ratio to K or N ratio to Ca or K ratio to Ca and Mg once you have these ratio's correct you can mix your nutrients to what ever concentration you want depending on your application. Ideally these ratio's are determined by your room, light intensity, room temp, RH, air flow, Co2 , etc also what medium your using , soil , coco, hydro. those things all effect what and how plants uptake nutrients, so ideally your nutrients should match your environment. thats why these one size fits all nutrients works for some and not others. another reason ratio is so impotant is balance between the ions, all these ions work together , the better the balance the more active ions you have available in the solution meaning you can have more available nutrients for the plant at 500ppm then at 8 or 900ppm if your solution is better balanced, so you will use less nutrients but have more active nutrients available and not clog up your soil etc, with dead nutrients.

Here is my opinion on what you need to grow, and this is after many years of mixing and experimenting , I don't mean to offend anyone but all these bottled nutes are junk , their best interest is not for the customer its for themselves and bottom line. they sell an inferior base mix and then want you to buy a bunch of boosters on top of it, and not once but twice , grow and then bloom. its a pretty good scheme they have going.

If you have a proper base mix thats all you need from start to finish, as long as its balances and you feeding at the right concentration the plants will have everything they need, if you want to up the game , add a little p-k during flower weeks 3 to 6 or any other week depending on flower time. other things you should run is fulvic, humic, micro's and enzymes, some will run carbs but i don't think its worth it , don't run everything at once never do that , example once a day feeding , feed base mix with a little fulvic mon.tues., at lights on. wed. they get humic micro's , thur.fri. base + fulvic , sat. enzymes thats just an example, also its good to add kelp once a week but thats it , keep it simple and don't throw everything at your plants at once. hope some of this helps

Jacks 5-12-26 and cal-nit.

How are guys running this in DTW coco?

Currently feeding Megacrop, epsom, and Canna PK at 1.5 ec. Run off slightly under 1.5 EC. 9 feeds per 12 hour light cycle.

I do multi strain so I’m always having fun balancing my feed to keep em all generally happy.

If I go straight Mega I can’t feed over 1.2 EC without build up in flower. This switch happens through stretch.

I can feed high (1.5 ec+) with proper balanced run off in vege, flip to 12/12 and 1-2 weeks later blammmo! Run off spikes.

Need something for after stretch and I think I’m going Jacks. Just wondering how y’all run it.

I want to switch now as I’m hitting the sweet spot stage.

Defoiled yesterday, 3rd week from flip:

Ok went for broke and ordered 1/2 skid Mega Crop two part, just the Part A as part B is just Calcium Nitrate.
Nice! I’m liking the Part A.

And Part B is just generic calnit.

Too bad I have 25lb of each.

May grab a 25lb of one part off you though. Almost out of it and it’s perfect for veg.

Once you figure Mega out it’s pretty easy peasy.

Too bad the margins for retailers are so low compared to bottled nutes. Distributors gotta charge the retailers less for their water. It’s a tough racket!

It'll take a week or so to get it. Last time it was two weeks+ for it to come in sat at customs for a while. 48 bags is gonna be a while to sell lol.

Well, you could do what the bottled nutrient companies do and promote extreme over fertilization... "You only need three pounds per litre of this here powder". LOL
Duh, I’m getting 25lbs man. Should get a pound dried. ;)
