Help with ebb and flow flow tray size

Im working on a diy ebb and flow setup for my flowering room and i found a planter thats about 3x2 (36 x 24.5 x 8.5) im trying to figure out how many plants i could comfortably fit in there and the max it can hold ...
Im using a 1000w hps my grow space is a closet about 4x4x7...im trying to yeild 500 grams every 2 months.. IS THIS SPACE TOO SMALL...Can anyone help

and can anyone one give a little enlightenment/advice on the benefits of sog style growing ..

I think your space is definitely on the small side for a 1000w mh. You'll need a pretty kicka$$ exhaust system to cool that light in such small space.

well i got an exhuast fan .. its actually doin a good job i think... it keeps the room between 70 -80 degrees ...
i really just wanna know how many plants i can fit in my planter

like he said. i've got 2 400w hps in basically the same area and venting is a bitch! i get it down to low 80's during the day, high 70's with a/c. i dont have cooltubes but i do have a plexiglass sheet covering the whole top half of my grow

Get a bigger tray. Or maybe use two of those in that space. Might be enough to get you that 500g, but your going to need to be on top of your game. Yea and def. get coolable lights, a good fan, and maybe a/c in that space. Im working with two air cooled 400's and two T5's in a 5x9x8 space with two tower fans and a 450cfm inline fan hooked to the lights exhausting out, but I needed to add a/c to get good temps.

probably 8 to 10 plants planted 4 inches in from side of planter 8 inches apart.

My plants are 8 inches apart i fit 50 plants on a 4 X 8 table
