Thanks for the info Jeff. I have some dilute no Nat/thrips solution that i will be applying today in to the top 2 inch of medium and i also have a really good sprayable solution for the foliage also being applied today. This should keep the numbers from rising anymore. and last thing tonight Im going to crank the Co2 up so that it reaches 10,000 ppm and this should help. Im going to turn all the fans off for this so that the room gets the best dose i can give. This again will hopefully kill some of the little F*****s whilst i wait for the hot shots no pest strips to arrive. I will monitor this daily and let you know how Im getting on.

Sounds great man! You only need to reach those co2 numbers for 30 minutes or it will damage the plants. Make sure to seal the intakes and exhaust with some plastic and tape for those 30 minutes but that should do the trick!

Hey Jeff

What a day this has been. Just taken me 6 hours to take the lady's out of the room. Then give the room a damn good clean with jays fluid, Top to bottom. Set all the remedies up. I also used a small air gun to blast the Lady's foliage to get any unwelcomes off the leafs. I did this so that any insects would be caught on a board that i made with sticky traps to see how many were on them. ( more than i thought ) anyway i them moved 1 Plant at a time in to my bathroom which i disinfected before i started and applied a coat of the spray i have to all the foliage. I then added the solution i have for the medium to the pots. And as another safety precaution i also added more sticky traps to the inner side of the pots. From here the ladys were put back into the grow room and once they were all in i gave the plants and the room another small coating of the spray. And finally the room was sealed and the Co2 was turned up to 10,000 ppm for 20 minutes. The Lady's are now resting after the shock off all this and i will take a look at them first thing tomorrow morning......

Im bringing the pain:fire::fire::fire::fire::fire:

Hey everyone. Second update.

The ladys have stood up well to the shock of things, in fact they look to have put some more growth on.

I measured the biggest of them last night and she stands at 28" high and wide. with 7 main colas and lots of side colas. Most of the plants are in an amongst the same size as she is. I also counted her bud sites ( bit geeky i know lol ) and she has an amazing 94 sites producing flowers. I took quite a bit of the fan leaves from the bottoms of them last night but not too many it would over shock em. And this may have helped getting rid of any eggs that may have been on them.

The exhaust's are now installed as is the new intake fan. Pics below... And if anything they are working too well. The humidity dropped to 20% so now i only have 1 on during the light period and both on at night, with 1 on an intermittent cycle.

My meter showed that the Rh was at 68% last night so installing the new exhaust has helped in keeping it lower. Yeh. I will be adjusting the timers so that it will be perfect.

RH>>> Day>>> 45-55 %
RH>>> Night>>> 55-70 %
Temp>>> Day>>> 27 D C
Temp>>>night>>> 18 D C

I also had great pleasure in watching the bugs i caught on my sticky board under the microscope die a slow, slow death.... Hu ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaa

The bug situation seems to be under control as i haven't seen any new life, i found some dead and took them away with a cloth. so we are a go again. But i will always have my watchful eye on things.

Big day tomorrow. Flush followed by skirts being taken up followed by half feed watering, followed by reapplication of bug solution. Good job i have my brother as a slave...lol He's a top lad!!!!!!!!!

ok some pic's below.... Enjoy

And as always any comments, advice, criticism welcomed.

Peace and happy growing

3rd update.

Ok so i have been doing my research again. And i have been looking in to the thrip infestation. I read that thrips with open up new leaves and suck out the sap leaving a slightly irregular silvery mark. Which after finding this out i took a look at my leaves and yes i have these marks, ( quite a few too ) on more or less every leaf. And on closer inspection I also took a few of the infected leaves and put them under the scope to see what the damage was. And i can tell you its not pretty. I also found a few of the eggs and they are minute and yellow and stuck to the leaf like glue.

So the damage that has been cause by these thrips cannot be helped, but the prevention can. I will be applying some more solution tonight when the lights go out and i will also be giving the room another dose of Co2. I will be doing this every 2 days to disrupt the cycle of the thrips i have. Im holding back on taking the skirts up tomorrow and may have to do this in a weeks time as these thrips like sap and i don't want them sucking sap from where i have made the plant bleed from.

but i do still have to do a flush at some point, I have decided that this will have to wait because if i flush the plants it will create more of a wet and hot enviroment for them which they will thrive in. And i don't want to do it before i get the Doctor doom i ordered and the Hot shots. In the mean time i will just keep adding the solutions i have and keep the numbers as low as i can.

in my research i read that with a thrip infestation they can cause huge problems like virus and mold. Which can decimate the hole crop, I think i caught this problem at just the right time before this could happen.....

So finally...... I think i have won the first battle, but the war is going to rage on for some time...... I will keep an update as always. And fingers crossed i will have this problem sorted out in the next week or 2.......

Could have would have should have, You have to remember this is my first grow and there are bound to be problems. I adhere to what people say and Im doing everything within my every expanding knowledge of growing to eradicate this problem. :eyesmoke:

lol go big or go home.
You have to be in it to win it. lol And im a mean green fighting bug's machine......:fire:

Quick update on the insect situation. I checked the plants this morning and no bugs seen as yet but im sure there are some die hard bugs in there. I'll be taking the Lady's out of the room again and in to a quarantined enviroment i created and given another once over. Then they will be given a feed and put back 1 at a time. The room will be given another clean too. Then its C02 time for them.

Im all over these fuckers like a crazy vigilante, none will escape me, none will be left behind. The second faze of my eradication is underway so i will keep everyone posted on this.
