you got to remember to flush at the end of flowering anyway, this helps take the burned taste out, if you got it during flowering, you would want a slightly more dilluted form, and maybe wanna use NEEM oil instead of the habanero method, just as effective, yet it doesnt give you the burn lung, you just add it to water, and pesto, week later..huge difference. either method works. but i wont use habanero on flowers for your reasons, only in veg. neem oil for flowering or ORGANOCIDE...works well to.

i wonder if someone could use a combo of neem oil and the habenero juice?

i dont see why not, both are all natural, and both are known to not kill plants with right application. but if you use both, i would use a more diluted formula for the neem and peppers, if i was gonna do this, i would do the habanero pepper stuff first, that way it gets on the leaves and burns those bastards first, then seal it up with some neem oil, since its thicker and might seal in those awesome juices from the peppers and might make it hard for the pests to move around, none of this is proven by me, but its just what i would do in that situation, figure out what might work best for you in your own situation, and remember, an all natural blend of stuff wont kill all of them all instantly, so dont get frustrated. keep fighting the good fight, and when you win, itll be epic and be rewarded with non chemical/ very healthy smokable organic buds that you can be proud of. i hope i helped in some small way. i also heard from a dispensary owner that he uses RUBBING ALCOHOL in a spray bottle, however, he didnt elaborate much, soi dont know if he diluted it, or what the % of alcohol was. once i find out ill let you know.

That doesn't necessarily mean they are compatible. Even though they are both natural, they work in completely different ways.

I'm not saying it wouldn't work, IDK for sure.

Spraying with an oil one day and habenero the other day might be good. In my experience usually what works best with mites is if you keep hitting them with something different each time you spray.

Tobacco sold to the "roll your own" group is of the same, chemically free growing standards. There is a major difference in it and how it is grown. I roll all mine, both kinds...

I discovered another useful trick to aid in the battle against the mighty mite.
Take a strip of Cellulous sponge material, about 1/2" wide by the necessary length to surroundthe plant's lower stem. Wrap it around the stem about 1" or 1-1/2" above the grade and secure with ties. Soak it down with your favorite solution be it pepper or Neem or whatever. Mites migrate, that is, they crawl from plant to plant. This band stops their migration as well as their escape and prevents others from coming onto the plant. This must be soaked wet every day while treating and weekly thereafter. It is just another helpful aid in the arsenal that we need to combat an infestation. I also make a circular donut out of the sponge and use a paper hole punch to make a hole in the center is about 1/4" dia. I then take a cutting and place it into the hole and then on to the cloning application I'm using be it rooter start plugs or Rockwool cubes or soil, or whatever. This keeps the donuts in place without ties, is already on the plant and a lot easier that the retrofit style, expands as the stem thickens and is simply done already. If I don't have a mite problem, I'll re-use it next clone. If I do get the mites, I am grateful that I don't need to do much to have this aid available. Simply pull it into place, soak the plants down and soak the donuts and good bye...
Oh and you can wash and re-use them too. They are cheap and can be found at a dollar store for a buck for three sponges that makes 9 of the donuts.

We recently had a little fun doing this.
My wife didn't believe me that the pepper/tobacco/Garlic/Soap/Oil formula did anything. I have a microscope set up in the blooming room. I took a section of leaf that had mite eggs and a few adults on it and sprayed a little formula on it. She watched the mite flip over and do a little dance and frantically try to move away while slowly dying. Took about 3-4 minutes, but after witnessing the death of that little bastard, she became a believer. Yes... I am a very sick individual.

havent tryed the pepper juice but i have used a few things simmilar,
1. garlic tea ; 1 tbs garlic oil or 3 tbs garlic powder 2 tbs cloves add to 3 qt water and simmer not boil for 20-30 min. let cool and mist underside of leaves.
2. to deter them before they start you can put a few banana peals around the plants, sounds silly but it works.
3. Liquid lady bug you can buy on line. organinc and totaly safe.
also if your near any guava trees thats the source! i had to cut 3 guavas to totaly get rid of them

I have been using the simple Habanero spray for about a month or so now and Id say that if you just man up and use the spray, and try to think like a mite its pretty fool proof. Achieving complete genocide isnt something that comes easy, especially if you dont believe in using bogus chemicals in, around, and on your plants like me. With all that said, this spray is really gnarly and is definitely going to kill shit on contact, and as previously stated its not going to kill the eggs and there pretty much isnt anything natural in the world that kills eggs well at all except for cloves. All you have to do is diagnose how serious your issue is, and spray as frequent as you need to according to your environment and how well it harbors reproduction. My rule of thumb would be that once you have realized that you have an issue, you can start spraying them twice a day if you really want to, but I would just do it once a day for 3 days off the bat. After that I would cut it down to every other day for like a week and see where I am at. Using this spray once will drastically reduce your population in general, and its extremely cheap. I recommend trying it. Plus you can use it pretty far into flowering.

So now i'm wondering if I can use this calicleaner to treat the soil i'm using before i actually plant the seed to avoid future mite problems. Could doing this perhaps alter the PH of the soil? Is it possible to use too much calicleaner?

I recently found mites on a plant that I started to flower on Jan 1....I couldn't get the Habanero peppers (had to order online)...in the mean time, I discovered a new product by Raid called "Earth Options"....I sprayed and waited three days and then sprayed again...now I can find no mites...I notice the tops of the plant leaves have curled under a bit, but seem ok...I will report any problems with the plant due to this product or re-infestation, and if so, I will try the peppers...Has anyone else tried this Raid product??

RAID doesnt sound good to me! Unless you are in a very remote area, you should be able to find habaneros in town... I had to do a few groceries but it's a pretty common pepper

mighty wash worked for me great i had a terrible infestation saturated my plant with mighty wash , and then a week later just to be safe havent seen a single mite since not to mention it's organic and can be used up to the day of harvest....only 10$ bucks at the the GROW store, also sns 217 mite spray is great but a lil expensive but will wipe out mites with one application.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it or not but you are spraying chemicals, just easily found organic ones. Can't possible see how this approach is any less chemical than say neem oil, orange oil, even Azamax...

You know its safe because you can EAT habenaros. I don't know whats in azamax but would you be willing to drink it?

I wonder if rubbing garlic cloves around any possible entraces to my room could deter mites or other pests?
