I need help with selecting new nutrients!

Read journals and look at the pics.
Fried plants? Maybe stay away...

I started using the GH trio, just following the label, last grow and I like it; though I add Epsom salt & molasses.
Journals? Is that a part of this site?

No fried plants, just wanting to get better results :)

To be honest, since I've had no problems with AN, I haven't tried anything else. Having said that, after a few grows with their "Hobbiest" level, I started adding other nutes to it. I'm now up to their master (?) level, and noticed a big jump in bud size and potency. I'm sure there are cheaper nutes that could give similar results, but the idea of not having to constantly check the pH levels was what did it for me in the beginning, and I've never looked back... ;)
Yeah that’s what I liked about it :) I’ll probably stick with AN but get all their boosters and stuff.

The big improvements are in areas such as grow medium and grow methodology, watering and fertigation, environment control.

The most important factor is plant genetics (that you most possibly buy, unless you are breeding yourself).

Just keep using the nutrients you have; don't add anything unless you are 100% certain you need it. Changing your nutrient schedule now will only add new variables that you do not understand and that will make your grow harder to control. Keep it as simple as possible, and don't fix it if it ain't broken.

Are you able to generate "nutrition" in house? Compost bin, worm bin, fermenting, teas with fruit peels etc. Just a thought.

Journals? Is that a part of this site?
Here:

What I meant to say was - find (successful) journals that grow the way that you are growing now - copy them.
That's why they post - to journal their grow for themselves, and to help others do / don't do. If their plants are fried - don't do that.
Think of a successful journal as instructions - follow them.
Ex - I'm indoor / led / soil (FFOF). I'm not a great grower, but following my journal will get you smoke. (don't do it, find better journals).

Then, find journals that grow the way that you WANT to grow - and work towards that.

All the pieces to the puzzle are here at RIU - and some drama and extra crap you don't need thrown in for flavor! :bigjoint:
Some assembly required....

@Lockedin makes a very good point. How do you want to grow? My goal is to use as little from "outside" my domicile. Some people want an automated system. Some use no till, etc. The more you are exposed to the better option for you will appear. Take parts from a bunch of styles to develop yours. I tried doing it other peoples way, best results have come from a development, maturation and continuing evolution of "my" style. The above said will help in decision of what nutes to buy. I will suggest to buy a small amount when trying new lines so yours not married to it financially. Hope all this jabber helps. TC

I could definitely improve my environment.

I’ve been using CANNA terra pro plus and a hps. I had mad problems with it getting too hot, as it was kind of impossible for me to control at the time. But I’ve just got myself a QB from kingbrite, so I’m hoping that will generate way less heat and I’m able to control it better.

i also just got some in house genetics, so hopefully it will turn out real nice this time

this was how my last one turned out, with just the sensi nutrients.

Thanks man I’ll have a look through! I’m same as you, indoor soil and this will be my first time with an LED excited to see the difference

I like to do everything by hand
I’m going to try living soil eventually. I have a lot of reading up to do about it though.
I was just wondering whether you really do notice much of a difference with different nutrient brands.

I would not do that. Keep the nutrient schedule simple.

AN sell a lot of aggressively marketed bottles, and it makes me very suspicious. It's probably a good way to piss away money.
they do all these bud boosters and stuff, not think it would be worth trying one of those also? Their nute set has like 12 different things in it haha. They seem to think you can use them all at the same time

Do you have any pictures from the last week of flowering your plant? And how long did you flower your plants for?
