Is it Mould?

I have some bud , around an OZ to OZ & 1/2 curing in a jar at the moment.

It has been there for about 4 weeks.

The thing is I am not sure what to do now, I think it might be moldy.....

It is NOT a web like mold but rather white dots, just like trichomes but when I look at them under a 60x microscope they look like ICE.

It is weird they honestly look like little snowballs, with crystal sort of structure?

Is it game over?? This is my first time drying/curing.

Have you left the jar closed this whole time?

It needs to be dried until the smaller stems snap before jarring. Then for simplicity sake. You can burp a few times a day the first few days. Then every few days. Then once a week. All the while checking for wet buds touching or bad smells or mold.

Nah man, I was on top of like you say. Burping it multiple times for about the first week then went to once every two days. Now at about once every 4 days or so.

I can't get a photo :/ my camera doesn't do it justice and you cannot see anything

Cool. I panicked for ya for a minute.

If it was still wet it could be mold. Sorry if it is bud.

That is what I fear, Its all a learning curve I am open to that.

Just hard trying to feel for something that you dunno the feeling for yet. Like how wet is wet. Next time I will 100% be getting a humidity monitor for in the jars , can't remember the name just now.


Silly question but can mold look like Ice?? Tiny little single dots, not any sort of web appearance. I am kinda high so excuse me if this is ridiculous but could it possibly be that I have frozen the trichomes? :/ I doubt it but I am just trying to work out what is going on and how to prevent it.

It is stored in a room which is around 5C - 41F Degrees.....

Just thinking out loud here....

If the jars are actually freezing I guess. But I don't know. And white mold usually does look webby. But Powdery Mildew starts as spots.

Okay, think I will just need to keep an eye in the situation...
