SYCAMORE, IL, USA and SALO, FINLAND -- IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. and LEDiL Oy announced an engineering collaboration that enables LEDil Mirella™, Angela™, and Lena™ reflectors to mate with IDEAL Chip-Lok™ array holders. As a result, lighting OEMs worldwide can now incorporate COB (Chip On Board) array technology from Bridgelux, Citizen, Cree, Nichia, Philips Lumileds and Sharp into their LED luminaires for higher quality, more cost-efficient production.

At http://www.newark.com/ they have these reflectors for sale, I think I could have got some for the big chips I bought but I couldnt work out the model codes and I needed to order straight away. I think I am going to get some, i will have to change from the Pico Molex connector tho, I think you need to use the adapter clip as well, so you need, Chip, Adapter Plate and Reflector, four screws and your in.

Also the price of the Bridgelux chips has come down again? I don't know whats going on now! lol

Bridgelux Introduces V Series LED Arrays for sub 1000 Lumen Commercial and Residential Markets

September 25, 2013...Livermore, California-based Bridgelux Inc., introduced a new line of Chip-on-Board LED array products called the Bridgelux® V Series™. According to the company, these cost-effective light engines extend the technology and performance of the company's Vero™ line. Bridgelux says that they feature high flux density in small source size packages and are well suited for sub 1000 lumen commercial and residential lighting markets where tight beam control and high quality light matter.
The Bridgelux V Series LED arrays were developed to bring Bridgelux light source technology to sub 1000 lumen applications such as PAR and MR-16 lamps, small aperture down lights, landscape spots, security lights, track lights, spots, and accent lights. The V Series arrays will initially come in two light engine sizes (V6 andV8). They will have with multiple electrical configurations, CCT and CRI combinations, for greater design-in flexibility and energy-efficiencies. The LEDs feature ANSI compliant 3-step binning.
The company says that the light engines can be driven at twice the nominal current.`'l Bridgelux notes that this ability to be driven at higher current translates greater design flexibility and superior lumen per dollar performance. The V Series LED arrays are supported by a variety of existing and new mechanical holders, optics and drivers from a variety of established partners. Bridgelux claims that this interchangeability brings down overall sourcing and installation costs for lower lumen applications.
The company says that the V Series arrays feature a low thermal resistance and an electrically isolated thermal path for simplified thermal management. They also support Energy Star and various rebate programs with more than 7,000 hours of LM80 test data and R9 values that exceed California Energy Commission requirements for luminaires and lamps. Like all Bridgelux array products, the V Series comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
“We leveraged many technological advances from our industry leading Vero LED Array Series to bring our high quality light engine technology to the V Series for lower power, cost sensitive applications,” said Max Hong, chief sales and marketing officer of Bridgelux. “These small LED packages are well suited for low lumen applications and will help accelerate the migration from traditional light sources (such as incandescent and halogen) to cleaner, more efficient solid state lighting.”
The new Bridgelux V Series will be commercially available in early October with pre-orders for this new product being accepted now.

Thanks, LED tech is changing so fast, the original intent has been supplanted with 1 x 4 and 2 x 4 panels. I have a 1 x 4 panel coming, but the cost of these to equal 200w+ will likely cost more than an intentionally designed panel, like A 51
