Brown roots are not a big deal. If you see slime, or smell something funky, then you have a problem.

I agree, the "sniff test" works good. If it smells bad something is wrong.
A few times I had foam around the edge of the res, 1 time it smelled so I did a res change. The other times I seen foam it didn't smell so I let it be and it cleared up in a day.

Hey everyone,
heres a lil update. things are going nicley. im actually seeing growth everyday now. um i started 3 white rhino seeds a couple days ago. two sprouted up and the third is almost out too. enjoy the pics

well i decided to switch to 12/12 today. mostly cause i dont want to run out of space, partially cause i really want to smoke. i got no hook up out here. we just moved out here a lil bit ago and i dont know anyone!!!

well here are the three white rhino... i know three may be a lil much for one bucket but im workin on limited funds so we'll see.they're 3 days old from germ to now

WR is kind of a small plants and you should be ok. Just supercrop them off the sides if they get too bunched up.

Supercropping is actually bending the stem about 3 or four nodes down from the top using your pointer finger and thumb. You crush the outside of the stem and bend it over to 90* Take a look at this for further info:

wow i didnt know you could do that. i mean ive heard of topping and what not but jeeze bending like that. hey i might just try that... maybe you can tell me what lst means too. ive seen it around the forums but dont know what it means..that vid was super helpful thanks

LST is tying a weight to a stem to hold it down or tying it to the top of the res. Saw one guy use those hooks with velcro, stuck them on the res and tied to that. I don't need no stinkin string with supercropping! LOL!

It says you can supercrop in veg only but I've done it thoughout a couple of grows and the only thing that holds me back is they get too friggin thick to bend. I still do the tops all the way through and position them for best light coverage. Yield is all about canopy management.

K just a little update. No bud yet. been in flowering for 6 days. got some ona gel to stop the smell.thats whats in the orange bucket. got the idea from roseman. wife was bitchin bout the smell. other than that just some new pics. everything seems to be going good.youll see the custom made hood vent system on top of the light. it works.

Hey, I got one of those lamps! Looking good! Luckily the smell doesn't bother my wife and friends who stop by say they can't smell it. It's upstairs and smell generally goes up!

not yet infex. walmart doesnt have any right now. out of season. but its still works well. i'll get a fan for the next grow for sure. i cant wait to start seeing some bud!!!!!! about how long does that take ?
