I hope someone can identify what's goin on in the first picture. nute burn err a deficiency? I scouted all kinds of diagnoses pages but couldnt pinpoint anything. it's only happening to 3 of the flat topps on some of the uppermost leaves but to only 4 leaves or so on each plant. I read that if the symptoms are towards the top of the plant its something up with an immobile element. or could it be heat stress from the light contributed with moisture on the leaves?

but the bud shots go:

2-flat topp/maaybe pk, you tell me raider :-P
3-grapefruit diesel
4-master kush

I didnt think the flash pictures I took of the purp would turn out as good with flash so forgive the shitty 3rd and 4th shots. I'll take new ones tomorrow

From what i can tell from the pic it looks like the leaves are starting to get a little yellow and are getting a rusty tint/burn look around the edges. Is this what it looks like in person to you? If it is a yellowing of the leaves and looks like there sort of rusting its a magnesium problem. Go to the store if you dont already have some and buy something for calcium/magnesium an example of a brand is magical. When your ladies start flowering they start to need more mag/cal and most nutes dont have enough to suplly them with their needs. I use magical which is made by technoflora. I think there is another kind named calimag or something. Either way should be hard to find and its not expensive at all. GOODLUCK there lookin super sexy and healthy other than that one little bit. Nothing to owrry about thought it can be solved very easily and isnt hurting your plants that much

yea man, it's only 3 of my 7 purps that are doing it so I skipped feeding just those 3 last week till I could get a better idea of whats going on with them.

Late but here. Lookin' good so far, your keeping those pests at bay. I'm lucky enough to have had 0 pest issues so far (knock on wood), but I'm not looking forward to my first encounter. Subscribed to watch the finale.

I know what to look for now so I figure I'll be over prepared for anything and everything for my next grow

Exelent idea B. When ever I'm in doubt I do the same thing.
yea just figured it wasnt worth it too feed them with anything till I actually knew what their deal was

P deficiency (maybe K related)

looking great though, so don't stress

I just wanted to subscribe :)

haha idk where raider's been but Im starting to think it might be the same pk he's been runnin :weed:

Im pretty sure whats going on with the 3 purples is a calcium deficiency tho so just gotta get some calmag and foliar for faster plant absorption right? bongsmilie

You can foliar feed, but make sure u keep the application rate low. Cal-mag is marketed more to tomatoes them MJ, I use mine at 1/4 strength in the rez.

after doing some more reading, too much ammoninacal N can lockout Calcium and I think that's whats really going on.
so Im going to foliar with epsom salt tonight then leech the soil tomorrow with a diluted epsom salt solution.

this site is what got me thinking that it was elemental antagonism and not a lack of Calcium- http://www.totalgro.com/concepts.htm

I never use Cal-Mag i soil/soiless. I always use magnesuim sulphate AKA epsolm salt. Just make sure you disolve it in real hot water, then add to cold water. What amount are you going with B?

that's what I was trying to figure out right now. I have some epsom salt and want to foliar it tonight then leech the soil tomorrow.
and Im guessing that I should go a little lighter in the foliar solution compared to when Im treating the soil.
what rates do you usually apply at NeL?

1-3 tsp per gallon. 3 tsp is 1 tbsp. Just make sure your air is fucking FLYING. Don't want a relapse of PM. BTW you get my PM? Some I have sent to others didn't go through.

yea man I definitely make sure they're nice and dry before putting them back under the hps.
I stuck on the safe side and went with 1.5 tsp per gallon and did a light foliar on the affected plants.
when I water or foliar or whatever with them, I take them into my garage and keep a large oscillating fan blowing on them.
so about after an hour with the fan on them, I wipe off any excess moisture still lingerin with a cloth just too make sure ;-)

but yea I got your pm man. I didnt have time to write you back but I'll write you back later cuz Im just throwin back a quick response before I head out to the Giant's game for the day :bigjoint:

Hey Bro, that is starting to look more and more like pk. I had some of the darkening leaves last round and just gave them some call/mag and didn't see it again. TLD is the one that told me they like a little extra cal/mag. I noticed it is weeks 3-5 that they need it most. They look great though and I wouldn't get to overly concerned.

Weeks 1 3 5 and 7 for plants that flower from 8-10 weeks

Again week 9,10, and 12 for plants that flower up to 14 weeks.

But of course, it all depends. Epsolm salts will last a good while, I used it in my organic mix during week 3 and 6 last year, and it worked very well.
