.

Seems small and expensive - look at a 3'x3' or 4'x4' tent, like a Mars or Gorrilla.

Lights - HLG Scorpion Diablo
6" Inline fan and carbon filter, ducting
A hard plastic liner for your tent
Cloth pots
A good food line - something like Remo or Success are great as are some cheaper nutes.
5 gallon bucket for mixing nutes
1 gallon pouring can with spout
Good quality seeds

.

Build an rdwc setup and get two 600-800w led bar lights.

lights $500ish each probably $800-1200 on the rdwc part’s depending on bulkhead and pipe size that leaves you with another grand for whatever your hvac/environmental needs are

Get good lights, fans and pumps. Start small that way your rewards will be small. You might be great at it on your first try. LOL. I started out in a walk in closet and two cycles later I had three tents. DWC was the easiest to start, but DTW was the way I figured was best for my girls. Your mileage may vary. Stay clean and keep your equipment well maintained. You'll do fine. Oh, and have backups for lights and pumps. JIC something goes wrong.

$2200 for a 2x3' footprint is insanity.

If I had a 9x5' foot print, I'd concentrate on lights, environment control (temps/humidity) and medium last. There's pros n cons to all mediums (soil, rdwc, flood/drain, coco). I'd probably be looking at flood tables If I had a 9x5 space.

Those have been around for a long time. And can be built for much less money.

How much cannabis do you need and how often?

My first grows were in custom made NFT rails. They looked really good at harvest too. The plants not the rails although I thought they looked great too, I made them. Well except my first grow where I chopped the females but we all begin at the beginning. I'm in coco/perlite which I highly recommend if you want to begin in hydro.

I know someone who dumped 3200 into one of those "Super Closets" with a 12 site 35 gal hydro tote & a blurple kind LED light. Worst purchase I've ever known someone to make. It's a tight fire safe looking cabinet. with no intake vents.. or even a port for the intake.
It was so bad.. he moved, and only took the light.. left the rest in his basement.. I didn't even want it for free.

Edit: and it does NOT come with a chiller for the tote. Not even an ice pack.

Have you ever grown a plant before? If not, then whatever you do/however you choose to grow, maybe start with something like a tomato or pepper or even basil, so you can gain some confidence on a plant that's a bit lower-stakes than weed...

you ever dabble in peat c2g? i'm thinking about trying 1 although coco DTW is hard to beat (so far!)
Yes, I ran Advanced Sunshine Mix #4 DTW right after I came out of rails which was a blend. Seemed the same as my coco/perlite mix I'm running now.

It's so funny, for so long I thought you were a soil grower :)
