hi bro, i am the hardworker while others take credit posting lol.
:bigjoint:Sometimes that is how it goes... but YOU know what's up...

after a couple days of hard work i caught up with my partner's posts and i appreciate your good vibes,
Glad to be here...

it d be nice if you could follow our journal since we plan on posting pics every day.
I go on "offline spells" sometimes... but I'll be around for sure...bongsmilie

i was looking at your recommendation "your precious" lol, and i m very interested in trying that delicious thing since i am a real pot head. even though my fridge has a psicodelicious, 2 ams, another bigbang, a flashback, another lemon, most of them from sweet seeds. i really do wanna try your precious.
I am NOT a strain connoisseur, I mostly grow Bagseed.. but THAT IS THE TASTIEST HERB I HAVE EVER HAD... :joint::bigjoint:

actually i m not going to clone right now because i have to take a trip down south and i dont have time to do it well. but i have everything i need for an aerocloner (spelling?)
Cloning cuts down on the turn around time... thus saving you money...

But it is not required... many people grow from seed exclusively... and they do GREAT!!!:bigjoint:

well i got carried away, i wanted to ask you about, after seeing your precious grow room, the compost for the autos. my reasoning is as follows, the plant grows(vegs) and flowers at the same time, therefore it needs NPK and i m not sure how to feed it.
i m afraid i might put PK right now since it is just reaching its adolescence. what compost do you recommend? or guide me regarding nutes and feeding as they grow. thats all for now
I am not a soil grower.. not at all... soil is like MAGIK to me...

My op is 100% hydro... and I run it in a "scientific manner".. no guess work... very black and white...

But if I was doing it IN HYDRO, I would start with VEG NUTES, and switch when I saw the first signs of flowering...

Since you may not have the luxury of switching, I would use the Bloom nutes, since I know for a fact that flowers develop very poorly with VEG nutes...

Now when you bring in composts... soilless mixes... and what not, I get totally lost....

Hope I helped...:eyesmoke:

i hope someday i can tear down a wall and make a grow room like yours. the problem would be debris lol. i m online for a lil longer!
You will get there...

I started inside a nightstand in a hotel room...:bigjoint:
Saludos, nosotros
Suerte!

these pics are as of 10 minutes ago.

They look GREAT...!!!:weed:

If these are the plants you were asking about the nutes... DEFF. go with the Bloom nutes... if not... sorry for being confused...:eyesmoke:bongsmiliebongsmilie:eyesmoke::bigjoint:

diego here, haha. i thot I was a pot head, but you started on a nightstand in a hotel?! you beat me. lol. i ll start slowly to give it bloom nutes, oh and sorry for the mix up, the big one is a big bang, the small ones they have less than a month those are the autos, i d really like to try hydro sometime but my apartment is real complicated to set it up. by the way, how much extra money did you send BC for shipping? lets assume you buy 95 USD (sweet tooth looks delicious in deed) how much extra money would you send for shippin to argie since they dont answer emails until two weeks after shipping, looking forward to your reply
PS i envy your state of confusion...lol its been a couple weeks now that every dime i have i put towards the indoor, i m dry. it s more expensive than my woman

It was classic....:blsmoke:
i ll start slowly to give it bloom nutes,
Do it how you feel is best... when i switch my plants, I just go BAM from veg nute to bloom nute... there is no "need" for a gradual change... but like I said do what YOU feel is right...
oh and sorry for the mix up, the big one is a big bang,
the small ones they have less than a month those are the autos,
Gotcha!!!

i d really like to try hydro sometime but my apartment is real complicated to set it up.
The space you have is more than adequate...:eyesmoke:

And I tell you this... it is WAY EASIER to grow with water, which is readily available at most apts, than with soil....

Soil can bring pests... is dirty... the neighbors see bags of dirt going in and out over the months NOT GOOD...

Hydro is clean... get your water from the tap... dump it down the drain... no one knows... no DIRTBAGS...

PLUS.. you get 1/3 FASTER production and ABSOLUTE CONTROL over your grow...

Your choice... but I would NEVER do soil indoors...:eyesmoke:

by the way, how much extra money did you send BC for shipping? lets assume you buy 95 USD (sweet tooth looks delicious in deed) how much extra money would you send for shippin to argie since they dont answer emails until two weeks after shipping, looking forward to your reply
The seeds were a gift.. i didn't pay for them... I have never bought seeds..

I am too cheap...

Sorry I can't help there...

But seriously.... you could have a NICE ebb/flow SOG under that 400w HPS... a bit of inital investment... but many smiles at harvest time, every 2 weeks...:eyesmoke:bongsmilie:eyesmoke:

PS i envy your state of confusion...lol its been a couple weeks now that every dime i have i put towards the indoor, i m dry.
Especially in a small scale op, I love a "perpetual harvest"...

Just knowing that the next harvest is only 2 weeks away makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside...

it s more expensive than my woman
In all honesty, it takes about $1k to get a PROPER set up going.. with fans, filters, hoods, etc...

And the most expensive aspect of growing is UPGRADING...

When you buy something, make sure it is THE LAST ONE YOU EVER BUY...

Like fans for example... you will eventually upgrade to centrifugal exhaust with a carbon filter...

now.. a big fan running at 50% power is quieter and uses less power than a small one at 100% power...

So when you do buy a fan.. do not skimp out... buy the BIG HONKING FAN and use a speed controller on it..

It will be quieter.. and last way longer than the small would going full speed...

And also.. when you become a true Weed Baron... you will not need to UPGRADE the fan.. you alrady have the big one.. just amp up the speed and you are golden...

That is just my thinking though....

Do it right th FIRST time and never worry about it again...

And after the initial expense... every harvest will MORE THAN PAY for the cost... in quality, quantity and personal satisfaction....:-P:clap:

i m just as cheap but i got tired of growing shitty seeds lol. i need friends like yours or like you, if you wanted to send me seeds i d give you all my data and take care of ALL expenses... lol. definitely my next grow will be a good juicy mother and lollies,
hahaha regarding the bags of dirt, you should have seen our doormans face when he sees us every month with pots and 30 kilos bags hidden in my backpack. it would be great to have a hydro but i have absolutely no idea of how to set it up or what kind of nutes to give it. if you wish to be my mentor id be willing to follow you to the T at least with the materials and set up.
thanks
see you bro

How Ebb/flow works... plants go in pots...

Here is a DIY Ebb/Flow from the GrowFAQ

https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=...article&id=466

How do I make an ebb & flow
hydroponic system?

The goal: To demonstrate the construction of an Ebb & Flow hydroponic system.

The system being constructed is small, however the design is the same as larger systems.

Parts list...

  • Restaurant bus tub, 15 1/2" x 20 1/2" x 4 1/2", flood tray.
  • Restaurant bus tub, 15 1/2" x 20 1/2" x 7", reservoir.
  • Reservoir lid, 15 3/4" x 22".
  • Overflow fitting.
  • Fill/drain fitting.
  • Water pump, 70 gph.
  • Tubing, 1/2" ID.
  • Aquarium air pump.
  • Air stones.
  • Green air line.

Notice, in the pictures above, the one inch holes, in the flood tray for the overflow, and fill/drain fittings, also, the two inch holes in the lid, for the fittings to pass through.

A view of the plumbed flood tray with lid. See how it fits over the fittings.

This is a view of the reservoir with lid, and plumbed flood tray.

Here, it's all assembled. The water and air pumps are not shown. The power cord, and air lines fit between, the reservoir and lid. A small notch may need to be added, to avoid pinching the air lines, and to help the flood tray sit level.

Assembled with six 5 1/2" square pots. Notice the easy access to both fittings. The fill/drain fitting has a connector for a 1/2" hose, under the screen. Remove the screen, connect the hose, turn the pump on, and pump out the nutrient solution. Makes reservoir change outs very easy.

    Another view of the system.

    Note: Choosing a container...

Not all containers are made equal. Some are very sturdy, while others are not. Using a weak container will only lead to failure and a flood. Choose heavy duty containers. Also, some containers will need a center support to keep them level under the weight of the nutrient solution.

    Note: About sizes...

The reservoir should be large enough, to hold two, to three times the volume of the flood tray or table. The pump should be sized to flood the tray in 5 min. or less.

i thot you needed much more space man. how do you feed them? just throw the nutes into water? or just water?
is it basically like the aerocloner?? cuz then its not so different from what i had in mind... should i interpret your silence regarding seeds? if you want i can send some of the ones i have... haha.

Not really.. I did my forst hydro grow INSIDE a hotel NIGHTSTAND... really small...
how do you feed them?
You fill the res with the right amount of water and nutes... and when the pump comes on it fills the tray... flooding the pots...
just throw the nutes into water? or just water?
Yeah.. and every 2 weeks you change it out ... run some fresh water on the system and then add more nutes...

is it basically like the aerocloner??
Not really.. what I showed you is called ebb/flow or flood and drain... and it mimics what rivers do.. floods and spreads nutrients then dries out... but we do that several times a day instead of just once a year as most river deltas do,..

The aerocloner works differently.... it mists the roots allowing for constant nutrient and oxygen uptake AT THE SAME TIME... the down side is that a few hours of no water and they are dead...

Ebb Flow is the lazy stoner's best friend...:-P
cuz then its not so different from what i had in mind...

You can certainly make your own system...

I am now using an aerocloner to clone... but would never change from ebb flow... may not be THE BESTEST OF THE BEST.. but it is easy and forgiving...:-P

should i interpret your silence regarding seeds? if you want i can send some of the ones i have... haha.
No, I just spaced it...lol...
I got no seeds.. I work with clones... the Juicy Fruit was a gift ... just a few and I got lucky to get a female...

I would not recommend approaching people here about such dealings... t will get you in trouble with the mods...

IF you must, use PMs... but still.. I would not recommend it..

I'll be down south soon... and I KNOW I will hit B.A.....:-P

Try to get some seed from Brasil... especially the Sativas from NorthEastern Brazil... Cabrobro in the state of Ceara is world famous for it's Red Foxtails...

I believe they only have regular seeds...:weed:

Not sure I would ever pay EXTRA for fem seeds... I am not a great believer...:o

Hydro is easy...

It takes a bit of work to set it up..

and it takes some money to buy to everything....

But it will produce time after time... with no extra cost...

As for what nutes to use... you need to find a supplier of Hydroponic Fertilizer...

They come in liquid form that you mix in the reservoir...

If you buy a complete nutrient, you will only need one nute for Bloom and one nute for Veg... and I like to use h2o2... but that is more advanced.. we can talk about it later...

if ur gonna do some hydro i would recomend having a few soil plants to fall back on just incase, also a very cheap, form of hydro is a hempy bucket, i got 2 goin right now myself and their doin great

Xare has a GREAT Hempy grow... 400 watts too...!!!

https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/210779-400-watt-2-liter-hempy-16.html

But all in all... I still recommend Ebb/Flow as the easiest and most STONER FRIENDLY form of hydro...

The important thing is to choose ONE RECIPE and follow it... be it soil, hempy or E/F...

Upgrading all the time costs A LOT.. and produces a pile of unused equipment...

I am a BIG FAN of the END ALL...

When I buy something for my op, I MAKE SURE it's gonna work in the LONG RUN... I make sure that I never have to buy that again....:razz:

Oh.. and you could TOTALLY keep the moms in soil... and just take the clones in to HYDRO...

That way, as Mc said, you always have a back up...:razz:

well with hempy u can get about 10 gallons of perlite for 15 dollors, and u can reuse it each grow, and u can use regular, dixie cups, transplant to 1 liter bottle, and then for flower u can put them into a 2 liter, just sayin though im sure the other sytems are better but this one IMO is by far the cheapest, and easiest to do
