Day 49 from flip

I removed the LST tie downs and reinforced the stems with bamboo stakes as they were starting to fall to the sides with weight.

Raised the TSW2000 up to ensure 16" from top bud site.
Tent closed is 31.5C and 55% RH, inline fan cycles for 15 min every hour, brings it down to 24C and 30% RH.

Only a week or 2 to go woot woot!

It's been a while since I updated.
Still going along. Today is day 59 from flip.

Posted a little here for the contest. Seems redundant to run 2 journals for the same grow so not doing that

Today I got a wifi digital microscope, $35 on sale off Amazon. Chopped a little 'larf' off the bottom and put it under the scope.

Going to do some checking on the top buds next.

So I started measuring EC, and have been doing 1.1 to 1.2 EC with the feeds. I messed up bad and was starving her in the first 6 weeks of flower, giving only about a 1/4 of that, as I was just going by measuring spoon, but she still grew not bad.

As I read, I learn!

Anyways, she's in the final stretch now, I'm gonna take some pics prior to lights out tonight.

I forgot to close tent last night, so RD got light from TSW1000 for 4 extra hours.... not direct enough or long enough to cause any issues I hope.

Today I increased dark time to 12:45. Going to increase 5 min each day now until harvest.

The King Tut and Ace #1 are recovering quite well. I chopped leaves half instead of full defoiliate, and seems to like that. In the process I killed one of the 3 surviving Red Dragon clones :(

The other 2 are starting to stretch, going to be topping them soon.

Once RD in flower finishes, she will also cure in there, when that's done, I'm going to flip KT and ACE together.

Repotted ACE #2 and King Tut with about 2 inches of fresh soil on bottom. Flushed and completely soaked pots. Inserted bamboo sticks and flipped at 6 pm.

Light is at 100%, 21" from canopy. Decided to skip clones as I've got a pair of Red Dragons that are now looking great, ready to be topped, and I am going to germinate a hash plant and get it going for summer outside grow.

The Red Dragon clones are under TSW1000 @ 70%, 24" from tops. I think I'm going to trash the peppers.... they are stunted and sickly.

Day 3

Look at the Miracle-Gro soil killing my plants lol....
20210210_104244.jpg

With tent closed at night RH climbs to 80% and temp is about 20C. Have the inline cycling 15 min every hour.

Plants are extremely happy with the repot, the new environment and lighting.

I'm a little concerned about running out of room. These ladies are 5 months from seed, and healthy, and my light is already highest with current cables. I'm thinking I should put the carbon filter outside the tent, will have to rig another hanging method, as I'm losing about 1.5 feet in the top of the tent.

Also as with the Red Dragon temps were going over 31 at times, I think it will be higher with a full tent so I'll probably move the drivers outside the tent too.

Found Thrips again doing housekeeping yesterday... the battle with these is never ending it seems. Sprayed at lights out with BBG Eco. Will do again in a day or two. This pic is on one of the clones....

Otherwise, The RD clones are taking bottom watering now like champs and finally thriving with proper light height and intensity. I like how you can control growth rate, pretty cool stuff.

Yesterday was actually day 2, today is day 3.
Counting by dark cycles.

Exciting to see the King Tut already showing pistols at 3 days!

I decided to change my inline fan to cycle all night while tent is closed as I have the tent open all day so off. Before I only had it going 15 min every 4 hours during dark cycle, which I'm sure affected my yield.

I also swapped sides in tent as they fit better without touching sides, otherwise happy plants, filling out, I'm very excited for my 2nd run!

Also, Decided to get those hash passion going. They are Regular seeds so my luck probably both males lol... anyways freebies so whatever.

Day 4

It's something to see how much 2-3 inches of fresh soil in the bottom has given them a real boost, so glad I did that. Definitely going to have to heavily prune at 3 weeks.

Spent a bunch of time reading up on feeding for bloom... it's beyond ridiculous the conflicting information on the net... pretty much says anything will work. I'm almost out of 15-30-15 Miracle-Gro bloom, so was thinking of going with something else, but impossible to know what to get, and frustrating... so just going to grab the 15-30-15 again and use it throughout without the 24-8-16 and see how they like it.

thus time though I will start feeding right at beginning unlike the Red Dragon I did only 50% every couple watering.. definitely messed up the feed, pretty sure it stunted her too. Plus I never logged it. This time I will log.

Its been 4 days and pots are still heavy with water so I'm thinking 2-3 more days cause I have tent open all day keeping Temps down.

Day 6

Happy plants

Noticed RH was down to 30 when opening tent this am (usually its around 80) and KT seemed slightly droopy. I lifted pots and even though they were lighter and close, but not dried out yet, I decided to feed them.

Additionally, did a foliar mist just before lights out to trigger drinking / feeding.

Finished dry trimming the Red Dragon today, final weight was 3 & 1/2 ounces with a half ounce of trim. Buds are small and airy... which I attribute to messing up feeding. In early flower.

I tested one, tastes like how hamburger breath smells... rotting meat... weird I know, but, as its not cured, thus is expected.... still, it got me smiling and a nice clean head high. Not harsh at all, and No couch lock here. A 2 puff hit lasted about an hour... not bad. Will improve with cure, but TBH I'll start smoking it now.

Anyways, that's my 1st grow from seed to smoke. This grow was 100% Miracle-Gro and imo very successful.

Day 7
KT is looking like it's wanting more nitrogen, as its getting more lime green. Will feed with 24-8-16 next watering. Ace will get just water. Checking pot weight most likely tomorrow as they are sucking it up good now and 2 litres of water in full 5 gallon pots isn't much.

2nd hash passion seed just barely showing tap root, will give it another 24 hrs.

Day 8
Fed KT with 5ml of 24-8-16 & 4L of tap water
Fed ACE with just 4L of tap water

KT was more dry than ACE from lift/weight test, but both sucked up the watering like it was nothing... crazy.

Watering half in bottom then other half on top as I've no longer any fungus gnats, I'm going to top water as much as possible this cycle and get those clovers growing!

Plants are happy and pistols are popping!

Also I've a new girl poking her head out. The other seed is still only just showing a little tap root, but I'm still going to sew it today.
20210216_132218.jpg

RD clones didn't even flinch at topping. However one is looking a little lime green and she's growing a lot slower than the other, going to mix up a 50% feed of 24-8-16 for her. Man I stunted these good with keeping them in low light. They were planted 6 weeks ago from cloner. Taking off now.

Also quite happy that I've not seen any more Thrips. Seems like I've got things pretty well dialed in atm.
