Heres some shots of my new flowering batch. Looks like i should definitely top the yield of my last run.

Day 20 12/12
looks to be coming along very nice

Blunts and Js, they're enjoyable enough if with others. Chilling at home by myself, give me a pipe. One bowl, I'm decent for a while. Haha. Makes it last longer. Maybe? I dunno. Twenty minute slater, I'm refilling the bowl, so who knows for sure? LOL
i dont really like joints, they are to small, and always get reson at the end you smoke out of or at least they do to me. and when i did smoke i would smoke about 3-5 blunts a day just by my self and some times with another. it seems i get much higher off of blunts. and i never had to worry about weed lasting.

Ha. Preferences are like assholes and opinions, everyone has their own! But yeah, witty quips aside, I think I'm biased towards pipes because I'm a tobacco pipe smoker, anyway. :)

I wish i never had to worry bout weed lasting if that was the case id be smoking way too much. Blunts by far are the best way to go but a bongload everyonce in a while never hurt.

i like bongs to, but i break most glass. for me its either a blunt or just a average pipe on rare occasions

Hey Tommy, thanks for posting that. I'm getting ready to start something here and this is what I wanted to try on a couple. I'd definitely like to watch this one. Are you gonna continue posting the grow here or are you doing a journal? Is there anyway you could grab a shot of the stock where you topped it?

Peace, D
I will be posting up pictures every week for the contest. I can drop them here as well. I will try to get a picture of where I topped here though there really isn't much to see except the "Y" where the cut was made at the 4th node.

hooked where you been man.
plants look good as always. it looks a lil empty did you harvest a few of them, i also see new girls in theri as well
Thanks MC. Just not spending as much time on the comp now a days. Yea I harvested a few of them. Still have half left to harvest. And it looks empty just cuz you can't really see the depth. But It's gonna be alot more efficient with me LSTing again. I'll be shooting for an evenish canopy across the whole 4'X4' area. It's gettin there. I just need these damn girls to finish so I can get others in there.

Some doja there HOC , whats the line up?
Thanks bro. Alright, strains would be: Lacy Girl, DJ Shorts Purple Kush, Blueberry, Pineapple Express, Purple Nepal, Top 44, Berry Skunk, PermaFrost

Are you talking about a photo contest? If so I wasn't aware there was one, but I'll definitely be checking that out. Anyway, I thought UB's top was above the 2nd node? Am I mistaken?

if it was UB method for topping it would have been at the second node for the top, unless he i misted another area to cut, but i read the thread and only saw the 2nd node for 4 main colas

I kinda thought so. He was pretty clear that no other node would work. It was the "true node" reference that kind of confused me at first but I soon got that cleared up, or so I thought. What do you think Little Tommy? Are you cut above the 2nd or 4th node?:leaf:

i like the 2nd node, but like i said ive cut at the 3rd and got up to 8 tops
Well and that's kind of what UB says too, is that any other node and you get more of a bush. Still trying to totally wrap my head around the concept, guess I'll just have to see it for myself.:leaf:

i never really fully understand something till i do it. you should mess around with what node to top at and see for your self what you like best:bigjoint:

UB's method does call for topping at the second node. My bad. I went to the 4th node so that I could take a couple clones from the first and second node which I will be doing this morning. Sorry for the confusion. I feel that if you take somebody's technique and change it around a little you should still give props to those that helped you get there. I remember the first time I tried it, I was afraid I was going to kill the plant. Years later I have found that you can manipulate the plant a bunch with no worries. The third node has grown above the fourth now so I decided to LST them as well to open up the center of the plant for more bud sites. Since it is still in the first week of flower I will take advantage of the growth spurt and see what kind of insane plant I can grow. Since this is for the Party Cup Grow Off I decided to try and have some fun with it. With that said, here are the pictures. I have included a couple close up shots of the spot where I made the first cut at the fourth node.

Either way LT, that's a nice plant. She's so healthy I think she's gonna take off when you put her in her new home. I've got some Jackhammer seeds coming from Sannies and they're real Sativa dominant so this is how I'd like to spread them out. Thanks for the pics too.

So heres the set up I have going right now:

-5 Cheese clones
-early week 4 of veg
-4X4X7 ten
-8" aircooled hood
-MH/HPS digital ballast
-600w MH for veg
-600w sunpulse 3000k MH (not HPS) for flowering
-5 gallon pots
-perlite/fox farm ocean forest mix for soil
-using all 6 fox farm nutrients (according to their feeding schedule) and EM 1 (microbial inoculant)
-temp lights on is 76*
-temp lights off is 68*
-Humidity is between 40-50%
-Ph at 6.8

These are the strongest two. I did some LST earlier today and the pics are of the plant before, during and after LST and her canopy when the lights came on. Let me know what you think!
