About 2 months ago I made the mistake of ordering some 8" flexible ducting from my local hardware store instead of Amazon to try and save a little cash. After 2 months and 2 incorrect orders I finally got it today. I managed to get it all put together right before lights on.
So, for the first time since I put this tent together, I finally have the dual 8" exhausts up and running without being choked down.

I have the grey exhaust hooked to my hoods with the inlet 100% open...(Inlet is only 6" :()
20200813_233622.jpg
With it's exhaust filter located in another room in my basement.
20200813_233829.jpg
And then my black exhaust is a normal filter setup
20200813_233610.jpg
With open ended exhaust also to a separate room

I am happy to say that after 7.5hrs of running both 1000w hps hoods @ 100%, basement temperature of 68F, my tent can hold a constant temperature of 72.6F.
I'm FINALLY fucking done fucking with my exhaust. Overkill for the win...

Now, onto the next project

I have about 60' of four inch I was told to keep because it wasn't 6" from Amazon. Might put in a ceiling fan in the bathroom or replace the new dryer eventually. I hate online shopping. Especially of late.

I've discovered one huge bonus to sizing up to the 10 gallon buckets. Today is day 16 for white widow #1. It just dawned on me that I have never checked runoff or flushed in the 7-8 weeks she's been in there. So, I rushed downstairs, ran some feed through and measured runoff. (Had a full feed about 2 hrs prior)
With a feed EC of 1.5 my runoff tested @ a 1.4. I couldn't be happier. Guess there's a benefit to feeding less but with more volume.
I'm going to let it ride for now but keep a close eye on it. Would be nice if I can make it a whole run with no flush needed.

I raised lighting yesterday to 40k lux to initiate a little more stretch in her. Worked like a charm. I'll get her back under 55k lux and do some more tucking this evening.

White widow #1 with a 5 week veg from seed is obviously not going to fill out the entire 4x4 section of the tent she has. On that note, I went ahead and swapped out bulb/ballast and am going to have her under a 600w running @ 650w.
I figured it'd be better to overclock a 600 than to run a 1kW @ 750w due to spectrum, efficiency and size of area I need to light for her. I went ahead and removed the net. Going to let her stretch herself out until day 21 when I'll do a lollipop and minor interior defoliation. She's extremely dense and is getting almost no penetration through the top of the canopy at this time.

Why not reduce the light and induce some stretching? I honestly stretch my mothers under 40W 3528's at 37700K. Not your lights. I know. But proven results. Just a thought. 3/7. 4 months under 44W. 003.jpg

She's already on day 16 of 12/12 so I'm not to keen on reducing light intensity all that much atm. Admiditly, most of what I grow tends to stay pretty tightly packed together. (Side effect of 50k lux by day 7 of germination) So luckily I've gotten pretty used to thinning out my interiors.

I knew going in this first one wouldn't fill her half. She only got half of my normal planned veg time because I got excited and ordered some new strains I wanted to grow out.
I've got her @ about 50k lux now and I think I'm going to change light schedule to 11/13 for the next few days though. She doesn't seem to be throwing pistils as quickly as I'd hoped for.

My bad didn't realize you flipped. Too many conversations and projects. Need a big bong hit of the GG. Greenhouse built to be an outdoor tent going up tomorrow. New V3 supposed to be here tomorrow. Kinda scatter brained. I'd pack yu one if you were here. Thanks for the reply.

That looks like it would be perfectly for mothers. I can't decide if I'm a "mother" kinda grower yet though. Seems like a bit of a hassle and I really don't mind popping new seeds.

I've recently been tossing around the idea of using the other half of my 4x8 veg tent to run some autos while vegging the photos on the other side.
And knowing me, having the choice between running a few different strains of autos or keeping some mothers...well, I do like my variety of smoke :)

New greenhouse and v3?? I'd be scatter brained too. Sounds awesome.
And thanks for the smoke offer. I'll just run downstairs grab some GG and take a RIP along with ya :)

Mothers don't need a tent with a cheap ceiling panel light, still unknown to most growers, and a decent soil mix. You ever seriously try organic dirt? I was you a couple decades ago. And popping seeds is fun. But there will be plants you will never see again if you don't perpetuate them. My Amsterdam GG4 is being cloned for the 4th year.

Health is going downhill. Nothing drastic. But money squirreled away isn't making life better. Let the wife sell the stuff when I'm gone. I at least got her to work for something. Lol. Almost joking.

I haven't tried pure organic yet. Closest I've come is a mix of pro mix and mc gro performance organics :(
I do understand and clearly see how organic is the 100% way to go for keeping a plant long term. One day I know I'll end up like you with some phenos of killer cuts, but unfortunately, still being in a non legal backwoods state :cuss: I'm "trying my best" to keep things my version of "small".
As far as the girlfriend is concerned, 2 plants is "more than enough" at the moment, so I'm already pushing my limits while trying to keep the peace.
Otherwise I'd have both my 4x8's and my 4x4 jammed like the jungles of Vietnam :fire:

Edit...spelling

Sorry to hear that man.
I do understand though. You can't take it with you. My saying "it's just paper"...

I hope you get the health thing sorted out. Best wishes.

I so completely understand. Ran 24 12" SOG with a 4 week turnover for a few years before I could come out of the closet. I found a 4'cube was great for 9 2 gal pots at 30-36" plants once topped and heavily stripped below the fifth node. I know some stealth moves. Just ask.

You're close enough to get my base soils. I'll send you the amendments. Blows FFOF,PROMIX and earth organics out of the water. A 2 gallon pot will yield 2-3 o's when flipped at 4 weeks from rooted clone. Without topping so to say. Selective pruning. Smaller footprint, less moving parts, less cleaning, less maintenance, less energy consumed and less time messing with it all. Feed ,water maintain trimming. that's it. SCROG most likely. Get bigger than you think.
