Ya ill get 1 when i go check on them. The only thing you will really see is the cooler outside with the ducting comming out. The fan is all incased inside the cooler.

Sorry i got doing yard work and forgot lol. Stopped for a toke break and rembred.

So theres a little more the 6 feet of ducting but its by choice. ( forgot i left it hanging)

I left it hanging from the top down to the light. Its a bat wing reflector so this takes the heat out when needed. (Its my backup fan incase it gets to hot. All automated and notifys me on my phone with regular updates all day)

Works like a dream.

I don't have the real estate you have, I got my grow inside a tent. I think you have a whole room and ur cooler is above your grow or below?

Also, how does the amount of ducting effect ur cfm?

Are you growing in an attic? If so how are you dealing with the temps?

I just bought a roll of peel and seal, that's going to be the first thing I try.

Then I'm getting a variac if it's still too loud. I want to do that cooler setup but I don't know where to put the cooler.

This. What that means is the cheap controller starts and stops multiple times a second. It is to be used with electric motors with brushes.

Most inline fans are brushless. A variac is to be used. It actually controls voltage to the motor. It is easier on it.

I got rubber washers in between the mounts and wood I bolted it to. Go to wall mart and they have cheap 1 inch pillow tops for mattresses. Its similar to egg shell foam and good at reducing sound. I paid like ten bucks a piece for a couple full size ones.
Line the outside of the tent to absorb noise.

I lined the top of my cab where the fan is and wrapped the fan. I installed a long run of pipe to a dryer vent I put in.

I can barely hear it run now. I just run a fan on low and you can't hear it.

If mounted right, the fan will make little noise. The air movement is what's loud.

Do you have a tent or a room?

Don't know how I'd line my tent with the foam...

How do you know if it's the fan or the air movement?

Here's a pic of my setup in a tent nothing lined the fan controller makes a HUGE difference as we have mentioned before, and my fan itself is hanging from the top bars of the tent so no vibrations..........

So my issue now, as the temps just warmed up, my room is hitting about 91 degrees during the day. So I think turning down the fan is no longer an option.

Setup looks great by the way.

With no A/C in your tent the best you can hope for is hitting ambient temps inside the tent. If your room is hitting 91 you need to fix that first or you will just be like a dog chasing it's tail. I learned this when my tent was in the garage with similar ambient tents and a couple of my plants got very heat stressed. Fix your ambient temps then we have already shown what you can do for the fan controller and the noise associated with the fan.
