Storing in mason jar help

I have some bud i'm trying to store in a 4 oz mason jar (the little baby food ones) for a period of time, not sure how long, but possibly 6 months. The method I have usually used is to heat the jar in the oven, then take it out and put the bud in and screw on the ring and lid until it pops (sometimes it doesn't, and I manually press in the lid to pop it, which I don't *believe* is an issue as long as it doesn't unpop). But I am also told if the bud is not free of moisture when I seal it, it will be bad when I unseal it. It seems pretty dry to begin with FYI but I'm wondering how to do this.

Also, it's from Mexico....got it before the border closings haha...and i think it's a creeper strain, when i first tried it i was like damn it's not even getting me high but around 30 minutes later i was smacked and was stoned for another 3 hours. Any ideas what it is ?

You must do some research. There are established curing regimens. Learn them and decide on a philosophical basis on which sound most effective to you. Be prepared to articulate your philosophical reasoning.

Put a 62% Boveda pack in with it and it will last forever in a jar. You want your weed to retain some moisture. The weed im smoking right now was harvested one year ago.

This isnt a grower, just someone who legally hoarded some marijuana and wants to know how to store it. Its ok to just tell him store it with a 62% boveda pack. At least hes not asking how to store all the TP he bought up.

You cant go to the cigar store/smoke shop? you cant use ebay? you cant use amazon? As long as the bud is dry it will keep forever but it will keep much nicer with boveda packs.

the guy was probably right it's probaby shit anyway, it doesn't smell super dank it has kind of a pine smell. but oddly still got me pretty faded last nite and again tonite

Just buy a lid with a silicone seal, don't can your weed.

Save your seeds, they're probably domestic,the last bud I got in mx was Cali bs, but in case they aren't there could be some good genes in there.

i think it's actually half decent. it wasn't like it was a total disappointment, more like delayed onset. VERY delayed. i was feeling it upward of 4 hours later.

no seeds, unfortunately, it got cut pretty good. it has orange hairs and stuff in it which is why i think it's decent (highly educated, expert opinion)

gonna have to can it no other options can't get that shit in time. at least it's airtight

Just store it in the jar you dont need to use an oven or anything lol.
