do you guys use roots excelurator with the shooting powder? Some official feed charts from H&G say to use it, and others don't. Does it change anything?

You don't need it (as per their chart) but if you are experiencing any root issues you can safely use it until harvest. I believe they say to cut it out before harvest because of the beneficial bacteria but I haven't heard of negative effects from having bennies throughout the entire run, especially if you run DWC. I have seen instructions for products like Orca that say to stop using it 4 weeks before harvest but they also say that you can run it longer if necessary.

At ALL the hydro stores. It's not expensive, it was all bought up and the store owners keep saying "I need to order more!" California is flooded with growers and they buy up all the good stuff

Dude WTF is this shit?!? It's a much better nutrient calculator than the US one. The strength seems about the same when you calculate the liters back into gallons.

I think that humboldt wholesale is in charge of the website, aka the nutrient calculator, so thats why the different countries have different versions.

I should still go 50% of what they suggest for the base nutes, and 100% for supplements, right?

I like the format better but its all metric, and the smallest reservoir size is 50L, which is 13 US gallons. I use a small 5gal bucket as a res So I'd be doing math to calculate my nutes anyway which would make using the calculator pointless. So I either use the one on the US site, or calculate for myself off the feed charts. The H&G website does need to be updated though, they never change any info on it, and they need to work on getting some more products to the US. They're certainly a big enough company now.

I start with 25% in the first 1-2 weeks and then to go to 50%, then max 75% base nutrients (based on the feeding schedule) but I usually don't go that high because they don't need it. Learn to read your plants and also start off on the low side because it's always easier to add more nutes than trying to dilute your solution.

I go 75-100% on the additives, except Shooting Powder. I run that a little lower.

thanks bro, when you say 25% you mean of the max amount, right? on the feeding chart they seem to start off with a lower amount as well,

you don't mean 25% of the reduced amount of the feed chart... right?

No, I do mean 25% of the reduced amount on the feeding chart for the first week and then 25% of the second week, etc. My theory is that when running DWC the nutrients are there 24/7 for the plants to absorb when needed. Plus when running a proper DWC with recirculation the nutrients will always be mixed and swirling around the roots so it's not like soil where the nutrients can get deposited far from the roots.
