I put 4x Tropicanna Poison in ground last night and 2x crystal candy today. Ran out of good soil so have to wait to put last 2x crystal candy & 4x gorilla girl in ground. Each hole has around a 5 gallon bucket worth of soil put in before plant is put in.

Pots bottoms are removed instead of putting just dirt in hole. This helps keep the top portion from wicking into the dry soil.

Chicken wire is around each plant to stop the rabbits from eating.

Each plant is around 4 to 5 ft from eachother.

So we have 3x White widow, 2x blueberry, 4x Tropicanna Poison & 2x crystal candy in the ground.

And NO nutes will he used this year as I could only get my hands on miracle grow soil. (Yayaya mg. Nothing wrong with it if you know how to grow and read your plants growth patterns)

Having that water source is probably super rich in minerals
You must be a mind reader lol. I actually looked up a bunch of info on the river a few weeks ago. I will most likely have to use an alternative water source occasionally to prevent nutrient lockout.

Have you personally tested it?
Only the ph. 7.2 a little high but IDC. The studies on water mineral content are done by many companies. since I live near the head of the rivers water supply and the studies are done less than 15 miles away I just count them as close to accurate.

My bug problem.

Going to go get some demetrius earth as it may appear that the soil came with some presents. Cutworms. Found another today. Luckily so far only 2 plants have been affected and only some leaf material was lost so far.

Alright all above plants are now in the ground. No more safety net with bringing them in. demetrius earth has been put around stem on affected plants.

Ok, haven't went out to check this morning BUT Decided to go out during the night and kill as many cutworms I could find. Only found 1 but was enough to get me to dump piles of Demetrius earth on every plants stalk. The 1 I found had just gotten to the top of the plant. Got him before he got to eat. A little scared to go look at the plants this morning but I have dealt with worse so Xn my fingers. Another post soon

Ok, so no new damage since yesterday. I did not find any of the big cutworms (I think dingy cutworms) but there was this little cutworm guy rolling around wishing he never entered the planter.

Found 2x cutworms last night in single pot. One was just starting to munch on a leaf and the other was circling around the Demetrius earth loaded with it. Everything is looking good. Glad I check plants daily, if I didn't I would have cought the problem way to late. Of course these are cutworms, today is good but that doesn't mean tomorrow will be.

None last night. Watered and mixed Demetrius earth that was on soil into soil and reapplied. Probably be the last night I use Demetrius earth as I don't want it to build up to much in the soil.

Plants are beginning to stretch. Oh I hate stretch. Looks like node spacing is going to be around an inch or so.

Pics probably tomorrow. Everything is ugly due to the Demetrius earth. Haven't had any bugs in 2 days, well I haven't cought any cutworms but there is visible munching on a few plants, of course the grasshoppers are here now. Don't look forward to the swarm of locusts this year
