Thanks for that tip sunni !!!
It was very tasty indeed , i love the look of your dish :-P
First time for sushi , seaweed , pickled ginger and bean curd , and i am a big fan now .
Bean curd was very , very surprising to say the least !!!!!
yes its quite sweet isnt ?

mines from an actual resturant, you should go try fresh real sushi look up sushi places in your area, read the reviews and go, youll probably get a really amazing place.
here we have 2 the one's photo i posted is my favorite , they are really really nice.

they first opened up right around my birthday a few years ago (when i did eat meat) and my parents always take me out for birthday day and is aid listen i really wanna go to the new japanese thai place (they arent all sushi they are more like actual foods) they are really authentic to Japanese food as well I mean their recipes come right out of Japan, they only have Japanese staff, they are truly authentic and their making shit loads of money LOL!

anyways my parents didnt want to go they were iffy on it cause my mom is particular about her food they were basically thinking ew raw fish,
i guess they spent that entire night read up their recipes online from their online menu and wiki them LOL,
anyways as this is getting long they loved it, and now they go once a week for a date night to this restaurant they love it so much

Can I have the acv drizzle recipe
Looks perfect beef (again!!!!)
Thanks man! I appreciate the love! Next time I'm going to egg wash it!

Can I have the acv drizzle recipe
I second the drizzle recipe request.

Please

OK! :D

So, I winged it - but it came out awesome!

Ingredients;

1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup ACV
1/4 tsp cinnamon
11 med sized apples

On med heat, put your sugar in a sauce pan until it starts to carmelize - not fully carmelized, just light brown (you'll also start to see crystals forming DO NOT STIR). Add your ACV and cinnamon, and let simmer for 1-2 mins. Add apple segments and cook until soft. The juice from the apples makes the sauce extra awesome!

Strain the apples and put your liquid back into the pan and heat on low, until it's nappe (coats the back of a spoon).

I transfered it into a bottle and gave it a warm bath until it was time to serve, or it gets too thick!

Obviously, the apples were my pie filling! :D

Are you sourcing organic tofu Sunni? I've had a hard time finding it around here in Texas. They like cows around here in a big way.

Anyway, I stay clear of it and other soy products, especially in restaurants. Wish I was on the west coast. It's hard to eat local organic around here unless you have the money and time. Looking into a organic coop that delivers once a week. http://www.greenling.com/

yes i eat organic soy,
i dont buy too much into organic foods, to be honest i only buy certain foods organic, ie corn soy, ect
theres a lot of myths about soy, especially the myth that men cant eat soy foods, because of the estrogen in it.
it is true that there is estrogen found in soy but its plant based estrogen called phytoestrogen, which is different than animal estrogen , and doesnt work int he human body like many people say that soy does.
so if a man avoids soy products for the reason of phytoestrogen, or because they think they'll grow boobs its a myth and they can indeed use soy.

there was a study done a while back about soy and men, and these men were all body builders who used estrogen pills and thats why they found higher levels of estrogen in their body not because of soy lol

i just read an entire chapter on soy last night in my school books lol

Thanks for sharing the info Sunni. I figured you would be up on it. Organic is damn expensive, but I've made a decision years ago to buy the best quality, locally grown produce and meats that I can for my kids. The industry has branded the word "organic" and it's thrown around in all marketing campaigns. Without regulated enforcement, it doesn't carry a lot of weight does it?

I've turned to building relationships with local farmers and butchers that process their own grass fed, chemical-free meats. It's something to be able to see the food your going to consume grazing on the pasture or growing in the field. We all need to get away from the convenience of grocery stores and processed foods. It's killing us.

My son is a vegetarian, so you know I struggle with getting him enough protein. Tofu would be great to introduce into his diet if only I could come up with ways of serving it that doesn't offend his tastes. I've never been a fan, but I'm open to exploring new ways of serving it.
