I wasnt justifying anything,I was saying its modular like I can (and will) break it down. I didnt have 20 ratchet hangers on hand though Haha

Many people tried IR? I'm looking at supplemental strip lighting to possibly mount between the boards, and figured I could put some ir or something in there to help with resin production. Not really sure what Avenue to take

I've seen a few people use that same phrase about the ratchet hangers. Amazon sells sets if 10 pairs(20hangers) for $35. So that's not like some huge investment or anything.

I'd get some 4' 660/730nm(8 ) strips and a few 280/310(4) and 365/435nm(6) strips from cutter. That'd be cool as hell.you'd probably want to drop a 320 driver though and spread all the boards to just the 2 other drivers.but you'd be able to use 4,3,&2 of the 3 kinds of strips per 4x4 side

There are people who say far red/infrared spectrum is not a player in photosynthesis, but this old person is inclined to believe that it has a synergistic effect when combined with other lighting. Some people also believed that green never played any appreciable role as well but that has been proven by researchers like Dr. Bugby to be incorrect, and he is currently studying the effects of far red wavelengths on photosynthesis. I think as wide a spectrum as possible delivered as efficiently as possible is the ticket.

Started using Mastercolor 250w and 400w CMH over 10 years ago and the plants loved that wide spectrum. Just put a 250w in the tent with 400watts of white Boards and Cob fixtures. Been 10 weeks and plants are using significantly more w@ter(infrared?) and are more sticky and seemingly more perfect trichs (uv?)

My k value in flower tent is about 3500k.

I went with UV part of the spectrum sorted first, and if you want to go the cheaper route, Ebay has a 4 pack of cheap 4 foot T5HOs with 6500k bulbs included (without a reflector) for about $80 shipped, though they do not appear to be very high quality, they have been working for about six months for me growing cilantro and basil and such. I think they have a little bit of UV to them with the stock bulbs as well. These Duromax sure are crappy, but they work for the time being. I am fashioning reflectors for them with sheet metal to use the Agromax Pure UVs. So for about $160+-, you can have 1 UV tube for each 2x4 segment of your 4x8 area for about $40 each out the door that you can run for 30min-1hr a day. Just a thought.

Edit: they also worked great for starting and seedlings before blasting with QBs buddy.

Cant use something I dont have......never said i didnt order them.....keep assuming though

My room is 9x12 so I have room to grow, I've just been trying to dial the spacing in for an 8 foot section before I buy 33% more boards to cover the entire 12 foot area. I was thinking the strips would fit nicely between the boards, I'll give them a look, only less I've really looked at are plc strips and hlg boards, seemed like some of the best stuff.

Bruce is the man! He has taught me about lighting, harley smith and kevin jodrey about plant and nutrition! Some super smart guys!

Idk if you've heard of him, but check out lostleaf on youtube, hes doing alot of things with red lighting. He also does amot of lighting schedule experiments

Numberfour's results confirm that it ain't the board, given a good enough quality one, it's the grower all the way. That looks pretty ridiculous man!
