DIY with Quantum Boards

hard to say, the one handed wearing their rubber boots will have the chances for survival i would guess.
if the current is not passing your heart your chances of surval are way better of course.
in real life it prob a pretty complex topic, but lets say latest 10A arent fun as you dont want the burns.

in the case of a meanwell driver with its isolated phases you would need + in one hand and - in the other to be able to pass the current through your heart, needs a both hander.

Luckily I've never been shocked with anything greater than 120v AC, but I have tied into 3-phase multiple times, and every time I feel like it's a bit of a flirt with death -- kinda like driving your bike down the road at 100mph+.

i got 230v 16A once when i was a young kid playing with a screwdriver in a power outlet.
luckily my dad had installed gfcis on every circuit so it wasnt more then 20mA passing my heart, had one hand on the floor.

i know electrcians on the countryside use their fingers to check if there is voltage on a line, but they have some thick skin.

its very depedend on your body resistance etc.
you dont need to test yourself luckily.

this guy wear some rubber boots for sure, or simply needs the thrill.

Having accidentally touched the live electrodes on my own lights which drivers run 285v @700ma. It was basically a faint tickle similar to static electricity. Not saying I'd prefer high voltage over low voltage rather I'd always pick based on amperage as well.

In as far as what's safe on lights if you wire things correctly and sized appropriately either way should be safe and would be acceptable to me.

Personally I don't care what ya'll do lol. High voltage / low voltage, high current / low current, straight / parallel, religious / athiest, vaxxed / unvaxxed.. Do what ya'll want, it's all good with me. I'm gonna keep running my boards in parallel tho.

it depends on exposure time, the direction of flow of the current through your body and other variables. in an electronics and comms engineering degree, and this was a part of a test - 200mAh is all it can take to be lethal leading to, or causing death. Of course you hear stories of inhuman amounts of electricity being experienced, Even my tutors had stories where they experienced what should of been 10 - 100x more. But the current experienced is unmeasured. Just be safe out there and don't experience any current flowing through your body is good advice.

Figured I would get back on the Quantum Train again with another grow - Hempy Buckets this time ( sponsored by Lowes I guess ) joking.

First setup :

Strains - Black Cherry Soda x Tangie F4 and Northern Lights auto.
Tent : 42” x 30” x 63”
Medium : Hempy 2 gallon buckets - 3:1 Perlite / Vermiculite blend
Nutes : GH Maxigrow / MAXIBLOOM , Hydroguard , Armor SI
Lights : QB96 ( 2 ) 320watt with Agromax Pure UV / Pure Par / 10000k finisher in Sunblaster T5 panel …. SF1000 V2 for supplemental
474 watts total

Optional : G8 Bloom Booster 630nm - 660nm Red Led.

Solo cups are micro Hempy ( coco perlite ) to create transplant plugs

Second Tent

Tent : 3x3
Lights : Original Quantum 304 ( 3500k ) V1 boards with 2 Citizen Cobs ( 3500k ) - G8 Deep Red 630-660nm led
320watts Quantums / 120 watt citizen cobs / 90w G8 ( 530w total ) - optional 4000k Slate 6 QB 288 ( 150watt ) supplemental

Strains :
Black Cherry Soda x Tangie F4 ( in solos )
KKP ( Durban Poison x GG4 )
Ethos Endgame R2

Cleaned her up … and gonna get those buckets in there .
Kkp and Ethos are soaking tonight.

530w in a 3x3, is that not too much?

All dimmable - better to have more gas pedal than not. Not saying i would but its there. And yes QBs will bleach your shit.

Supplemental lighting are as stated optional - hangers are there already in case i want to ADD . I have a spare dual QB 288 slate 240 that could hang like the other angled board for even more power. But just knowing that by simply adding a supplemental ( dimmable ) rig in conjunction with main , could expand on tent size or space by adding QB like individual “ modules “ i guess.

Decided to move those 2 Coco hempy cups into a SIP / Hempy hybrid ( 1 gallon ) because i wanted to run an additional Ethos Endgame R2 with the KKP. I bought a 5 pack but will self some seeds from one of them ( keep some moola in me pocket ).

This diagram is sort of the inspiration … maybe a bucket within a bucket type … not sure. I guess an octopot approach.

Damn things are growing fast so gotta get started.

Well decided to use a different mix to test instead … 3:1 coco /perlite/vermiculite and DYNOMYCO.
I prepped the coco cup with DYNOMYCO granules then transplanted into perlite / vermiculite mix . It basically began to take off without any slowdown. Armor Si / Hydroguard / MAXIBLOOM feeding every other day. ( also dependent on plant uptake ) .

So far so good.

QBs are purring along with SF 1000 V2 panel

I've got enough lights to rival the sun!!! I thought that I could build my own fixtures but that is obviously not the case!!! All of the money that I have spent I could have bought ONE LIGHT AND BEEN DONE WITH IT!!! HAHAHA!!!
Now with that being said, can I find a nice light for a 3x3x6 for around 250-300???

if u want a finished lamp I'd grab this. few bucks more but should do great in a 3x3. maybe could go a few watts more but I think this will be plenty.
