not an expert but i heard ducting that has black on the inside in sorta a little bit of a curve shoud do the trick like maybe a foot or two. shouldn't cut down to much on air flow

oh and tanning sessions dont last over 15 mins not trying to have my bill go through the roof in an apt by myself even though i am legal.

Haha well I cant afford ballasts and lights for 6k yet. Maybe someday. Upgrading from running a 400 and a 1000 at the moment. Tanning bed was free :) crazy life we live.

So I ideally will be running 3-1000's (room already wired for 120v) plus fans and such. oh and a 3300 watt tanning bed (220v). Ideas: Run a sub breaker and make it 220 and run all such ballasts and tanning bed on it. Or i could just run a 60 amp breaker off of the main breaker box. any ideas...

Personally I'd drop the hood and make the bulb air cooled and vertical. Also whats your reasoning for not using a 1000?

i would get a 12 volt adapter and just wire them in parallel. way better bet. they cost like $1 at most thrift stores :)

Ive seen the block buster hoods do some serious work also. I would pick that set up. Also better bulb than the first one IMO. But Id switch out the ballast for the Xtra sun one cause the miami one looks like a cheap build from the outside. Idk anything about them though just seen the Other one...

I would get 2 1000's in that or maybe 1000 for half and a 2-400's for the veg room. just my 2 cents. why cut it down anyways? I got a small 3x5 area for boom and it has a 1000 easy to pull over a lb in there.
