I start cracking beans around St Patties Day. Flourescents are perfect for veg, couple 40w cool whites are all they need.
?? What light ratio do you use during indoor veg to avoid reveg/stretch when you finally drop them outside? 15/9?

I think I might go with a Hawaiian strain this year called “Puna Diesel”. With their intense humidity on the islands they claim a very high PM tolerance. I bought IBL genetics so the strain should be pure and I can pollinate, creating my own cute little puna’s! Lol :weed:

“After decades of propagation in Puna, the strain has adopted certain characteristics that make it a true champion of the Hawaiian rain forest. When most buds have succumbed to rot, a.k.a. “grey mold’ or botrytis, Puna Diesel can shake off downpours that total up to 120” (ten feet) of rain per year.”

This past season I cracked on April 1. The days are already almost 12:45 long then and they sat on the windowsill in keg cups until I planted into the ground on May 15. I used a light occasionally on cloudy days to supplement the light they received but I didn’t extend the length of day artificially. By the time they went on the ground on May 15 the day was already 14:30 long so they were well beyond any flowering trigger.

15/9 is good if you figure going outside around Mothers Day. 18/6 is real risky for reveg before June. Last year 14/10 was ok to harden them in mid-may but most preflowered before going out, no reveg and males were gone early.

I go 18-6 right till I put them out , normally on June 1st . never had any reveg yet
Well this again was my 1st year outdoors and I definitely experienced an unexpected vertical growth stretch until I initiated their 1st topping (I had felt they had way to much stock exposed b4 nodes). I popped 2-3rd week of April and worked an 18/6 veg till I started hardening them off in early May in a portable greenhouse with shade 2-3 hours a day at first… then no shade and longer hours after a week… then final 45 gallon pot on my deck June1st.

I‘ve since realized that I can and have applied a portable 1500w heater under an extended table in my little greenhouse (I have electric on the deck) to keep them warm. The space between the deck boards keeps a balance of fresh air. Sooo… this year I’m considering working the girls from the get go in the greenhouse so it hopefully eliminates any light delta concerns... but again I’m learning so what do I know? At least I ain’t no dang rookie anymore! Lol :D

They definitely take off and enjoy the sun no doubt. I see crazy growth rate from the start but I’ve never had any slow down, weird growth/ leaves at all

Lol… I think I would’ve liked your Dad! The attached shows a little bit of what I was talking about. That peony ring is 16” from soil, that’s where my first topping is… 16” from soil to 3rd node? I ~mainline my ladies so the first 2 nodes were removed early but still seems excessive to me.

Hey Bam, Sounds like a great idea… With that said, I’m a little reluctant to take the reigns here due to process ignorance. I’m a recent contributor this year to this thread but I ain’t got a clue as to the process to creating a new MA indoor thread here or how to administrate one if I did. I’m all in for whatever that takes us… If it’s a simple follow the guide routine just let me know where it is and I’ll give it a Ho-Ho-Ho moment! bongsmilie

Winter is a great time to make bubble hash! Though next year I think I’ll try making some fresh frozen for comparison I hear it’s delicious.

No I did not leave it to dry next to the bounce sheets haha. Would that be considered a flavor additive? :)

I also just purchase some Blueberry Muffin Top and some BOG Sour Bubble cross, which I will grow indoors over winter.
Hope everyone is doing well gonna catch up on this thread now!
