In the microscope today I see some movement! It’s a cheap little portable unit - so I can’t get it in focus on whatever this is.
perhaps spider mites?
No experience with this issue - dealing with with rot has been the focus. I am going to chop today - what is the best course here?

I am treating with dr zimes (citric acid) after the chop and I will wash the bud as well with h2o2 or mayber zerotol.

any other advice?
Spider mites can be visible and you will find webbing and rot inside the bud. Once you notice them, it's trouble. Washing the buds won't do much, you'll have to toss all that's been infected, again, look inside the colas. Bummer if it is spider mites. Also, check the bottoms of the leaves, you'll see yellow eggs, spider mites have several different stages and many different sizes. There might be only one leaf on the whole plant with eggs on the bottom, search with diligence.

So I had some white powdery mildew just starring, thought I'd have to scrap a couple plants. After soaking them in an h2o2 wash, I was impressed with how clean the buds came out. I may have oversoaked one of the baths. But we'll see. The spider mites plant I had to totally scrap, could only save the seeds. Not sure I'll use them, as that plant seemed to be a target for the spider mites, and plants next to it weren't targeted.

Hang your plant over a storage bin and see what falls out. Tiny caterpillar hatchlings hanging on threads are easy to see with good 9A730084-9466-427A-8013-A2E1618F4BB2.jpeg75F481B9-4791-400D-9186-C926E2D7E75C.jpegbacklighting.

I had really great results taking advice from an experienced grower, I dont use a rinse bucket or buckets at all. The h2o2 completely evaporates and leaves no residue or damage to the bud, whereas it seemed to me,, I've had more damage from multiple wash/rinse buckets. I'll never use rinse buckets again, I'll tell you that.
I also think it depends on the amount of damage or problem you're using the wash for, some use 1 cup to 3-4-5 gallons, some use a quart of h2o2 per 4-5 gallons, or more. That strong doesn't hurt it, as a spray can be used at 3 parts water 1 part h2o2.
3 years ago, I knew none of this stuff. Now, I'm more comfortable with any and all of these techniques.

Looks like we got torrential rains coming through here tonight. High wind gusts (~15-20mph) and about 2.5” of the freak’n rainy stuff. Moved (2) of my last (3) under our Sunsetter awning to shield the rain and tightened up my tie downs, but wind of course will still be a factor. I put them on plant dollies too so I can move them in and out of the awning during todays and future bad weather (Monday?) going forward till they finish. At least one good thing about using 10 gallon pots. Good luck to all you hold outs! Lol :D

Still have everything in the ground. Rot is around here and there but so far it has been controllable. Still waiting for the amber trichs to show up on the ones closest to completion, like these Sholgar -

Craziest plants are these Rustam Kush, 4 girls nothing like each other structurally ranging from the almost ten foot purple plant to the short squat red-veined thing that threw out low-hanging branches with heavy side branching and upright-reaching flowers instead of heavy colas. Yet lots of similarities in how the resin looks on the flowers and all have small stigma too. They just need to get done, they have been flowering quickly so there’s hope maybe I’ll finish the last one by Veterans Day -

Waziri Repros are doing well, limited rot on these and they are getting nice and garlicky -

Balkhi Repro is the most mold-prone but I’ve still got over 95% of the biggest pain in the ass one going. Dense leafing on these makes them a challenge. But it’s manageable, until my patience runs out inspecting them anyway -

I probably should have driven in a few more stakes to support branches here and there, but it is what it is. Wind is gusty but garden is pretty protected.

Good luck getting through this latest rain to everyone else with plants in the ground!

My luck ran out...was hoping to run my 3 remaining plants for another week, but I just found two tiny spots of bud rot on my big Blue Skunk. Not taking any more chances...the Blue Skunk is getting chopped tomorrow afternoon after I'm confident it's had enough sun and wind to dry off all the morning dew.

Had a few branches on the big purple Rustam Kush get partially separated from the main stem so had to tie them up. Will likely end up taking them early for hash but there’s enough still attached to sustain them for a week or two more, anyway.

Will take the two Sholgar down soon as they are going into senescence regardless of what the trichomes say -

Like the rest of the Rustam Kush, #5 is very sticky. Smoked some trim today and it has some potency without knocking my ass out -
