yeah heard that .. even fruit juice or food coloring to “ enhance “ bud colors ...... however a flat beer in the compost pile works
Or how about the general lame type motherfuckers, that when they find out your growing bud, they immediately hit you with the do this, then do that, then your gonna wanna do this, and after that do this, then you'll have good smoke. And these motherfuckers have never even seen a viable plant of seed. Makes me wanna bounce my knee off their skull.

Does this also apply to removing leaves? I never liked the idea of cutting the ends of the leaf off, but it didn't seem entirely unreasonable to me
that if the cutting has too much surface area it will transpire more water than it can absorb because it doesn't have any roots and wilt.

I wish I had a better picture of when I was taking clones earlier, but you can kind of see in the background; if there are any large fan leaves on the cutting I usually remove them and leave the smaller leaves on the top. It'll still leave an open surface, but less than leaving a bunch of tissue exposed at the leaf edge.

I wish I could find either the thread or the study it linked. I went looking after my post but no luck.

Personally, I've found the two most important factors in getting cuts to root are having clean and/or sterile instruments, medium, pots etc, and keeping light levels low. I've had 10" clones with probably 1/2 a dozen untrimmed, bushy nodes grow roots in coco, with no wilting or yellowing, in around 10 days following these concepts. Like everything in growing, there are many paths to success, but this is working for me.

I've had luck removing lower leaves at the base of the stems as well, but it just seems like extra steps.

Yeah, I always use a sanitized razor blade when I take the cuttings and I run Oxi-clean through the pump followed by several changes of water (until there are no bubbles forming) before I get started. I'm a home grower with a pretty small setup, and I know it's not completely sterile and wouldn't compare to the sterile rooms for propagation that commercial operations have, but I do what I can and I've had a good success rate and vigorous clones.

You two are off topic
We are on about "Broscience"

Deep breath .... music posts were just side remarks in this thread. No cal mag needed.

We ALL KNOW that death metal grows the dank.
I’m still running faygo 4ml per gallon as per the classical music post with good results, usually on shuffle with icp, ice cube, snoop, nwa, the list goes on.. I did notice as well 1ml per gallon tequila and cypress hill, the fan leafs start swaying in the air. For music to work you need to use the corresponding drank.

For maximum yields you need to match it all with the particular strain. Thai buds should be fed chang beer, live shrimp and have buddhist chanting to listen to. Afghani needs mint tea, grilled goat and the sounds of jihad to really make killer bud.

See man, I’m still learning!

This guy has over 300,000 followers. That pretty much sums it up.

but this is how noobs at grower.ch are advised to flower their tents by the stickied tutorials there:

"Nitrogen-deprivation will lead to more early flowering and increases harvest" + "if leaves get yellow from the top it's a sign of overfeeding"

(not kidding here, this is how the old growers there, that grow for +30 years advocate their "techniques")

even better:
"Scrogging causes LIGHTLOSS, because the light cannot reach the bottom leaves anymore" [sic!]

That shit (literally) is horrible. Do you recall what it smells like wet? The foulest , most piss smelling thing that rivals the public ballfield shitters. Why anyone would want that around their house is beyond me.
Because Urea is one of the best Nitrogen-feeding strategy that there is -
1. fully organic - no carcinogenetic nitrit residue later to be found in the plant material
2. fully absorbable independant of pH levels, even through leaves
3. can be metabolised instantly instead of having to be oxidated like nitrit/nitrate

Urea or Aminoacids/Peptides = Super.

Problem in human urin - high concentration of salts (Na, Cl), therefore the strong dilution (1:10 - 1:20)

As for the stench, there's an old coroner-trick - rubbing a menthol-salve below one's nose - always fresh air in da house XD

I thought he was talking about the milorganite..when it's wet.

Dude, I've read articles about talking positive, and playing music helps with plants. Even playing different sound frequencies and higher vibrations, positive vibes, just like it is beneficial to humans. Even positive affects on water. Dr. Masaru Emoto performed a series of experiments observing the physical effect of words, prayers, music and environment on the crystalline structure of water. Not saying I believe in these, or how true they are, but find it very interesting.
A fringe pseudo scientist that is criticized by the science community for bad control. Try again....
