Day 59 of 12-12
Day 49ish of flowering

The K-Mintz are coming on strong at the end here. During the past week I am really noticing that the plants have started ripen fairly quickly, the white hairs are turning red and receding, the buds are going dark purple and they are just looking really nice. I am thinking two more weeks should do it. We'll see I guess.

Although one plant does seem to have more white hairs and looks to ba about 7-10 days behind the rest of the plants but maybe it will catch up to the rest. Either way though, they will all get chopped at the same time as I need the room for drying.

Thanks man. I am actually pretty surprised how well this grow went considering I went with the living soil for the first time ever. I was anticipating a few more issues but so far so good.

This is probably the smelliest grow I have ever done. It could be genetics, conditions, living soil or any combination but it's definitely gonna be dank.

Did yours have any leaf mutations?

I had one plant with 3 cotlydons. Never seen that before. But I didn't have to top that one either. It's kinda like it took care of itself.

No thirps but had/have fungus gnats. In early bud they were at their worst and that's when most of the leaf damage happened. I added a pile of benificial nematodes and have really seen a steep drop in their numbers recently. I am going to look into some sort of preditor mite for my next grow.

Stratiolaelaps scimitus are really good soil dwellers and eat just about everything fungus gnats being one of their preferred foods.
I use em all the time, seems the coco I buy is tainted with springtails.

I'll snap a shot of one of my leaves that grew some extra points on top of the leaf! That's why I was asking about the mutations.

I really like this night view on the security camera. It shows the shape of the colas better than pics taken with the lights on. They are getting pretty chunky. Screenshot_20230125-232209.png

The buds look no riper than they did a week ago but they are definitely swelling up. These colas are gonna have some serious weight to them at harvest.

I said a week ago that they needed at least two more weeks and today I am saying at least two more weeks again. Definitely at the point of the grow where patients pays off.

Helluva good job on the first living soil run. Loved the details, thanks for posting!

Looking forward to the smoke report :bigjoint:

Thanks. I had a few issues but everything considered, I am happy so far. I just hope it tastes as good as it looks and smells. My hopes are high at the moment, this could be the best weed I have ever grown in the 30 plus years I have been growing weed.
