imo, there is only 2 classes of seedbanks. scams and not scams. that simple. the rest is semantics. payment options are always sketchy cuz banks.

fwiw, any overseas order i made in years past was always intercepted. never received them or "insurance" replacement orders. I did get the tshirt or whatever random item the seeds were sent with, wrapped in customs tape. those banks werent scams, but it didnt work out well for me.

never had any issues with order placed from US banks: greenpoint, gelatoseeds, breeders direct, dcseedexchange

BOL with your orders

some bookmarks I had that were not already on your list. Swarley is the only one of these I have used - I haven't done any DD on the others

Not trying to disrespect the work you've put in so far, but I think there's something to be said for reorganizing the list in your first post and make the most positively regarded all at the top of the list. As it is a number of them are at the top, but GLG and Headie Gardens, for example, are much further down the list (HG didn't even merit it's own spot, it's down under Dominion Seeds).

Also I think there's already a thread of "Seedbanks you can trust"?

they aren't sorted. i don't have experiece with all/most of them. i have a larger sheet that has links and descriptions about each. some are just resellers, some original breeder or direct sales. Some have stupid prices, some have small affordable packs. Some have poor selection, some have great selection. There are new seed banks and even though i knew of about 30 of them, that grew to about 60. Still, i have seen a few more stragglers that need to be added. I have not seen a comprehensive list like this on RIU, which is why i keep a table in spreadsheet. There is something like this on Reddit. Also, this is US focused. Herbies isn't an option.....ILGM is bullshit too...no Euro banks ,etc. i added no banks i have ever had negative reports that i have seen. Each one of the sites i have visited and can vouch, except for CSI, strainly and direct messages/emails that they have a credit card option which protects US consumers. There is a good argument to only do business by credit card. send cash payments to CSI is dumb as hell. The point was for it to be US centric because we have a tough customs to get through and to make sure it is safe to buy...not to qualify the breeders in any way. There is not a best if that makes sense.

I guess I'm wondering how valuable a raw list is, but I suppose it's a start. It's only that there are threads about most of the big banks where you can find reports from people who've actually done business with them, and can vouch for their service, etc. If nothing else separating it so seedbanks and breeder direct sales are separate, and both categories are alphabetized, would be an improvement.

There's nothing wrong with doing business directly with CSI Humboldt. There's a reason his reputation is A++.

you guyscan’t be too nit picky aboutit

you can however share a bank you like and have good service eith etc and that counts for something !

so long as you are buying 3rd party genetics from a bank, if they have a credit card option you are covered unless they repackage their seeds. if you order by sending cash or if you get seeds in a baggie, that's no bueno. I can do charge back on bad businesses.

This list lost me at the very beginning with the bashing of CSI for arbitrary reasons, and i see it still continues. If you dont want to send cash, then don't, but it's pointless to continually try and run them in the ground over not accepting cards, especially over stated reasoning of being an IRS lapdog.
Although seeds are legal and hemp is legal, its not "all good now", As it has been pointed out, banks and anything weed related is no go for online/cc merchants, some get away with it for a while, why even risk it if you dont have to, and its pretty obvious that Caleb doesn't have to. Why do you think Multiverse makes you pay by an invoice they email to you? Why do alternative ways to pay like Zelle say "temporarily unavailable", its not because Zelle is having issues, its because the merchant found out and blocked their ass from making transactions.
This list is no bueno if isnt centered around customer service and getting what you ordered in a timely manner. It doesnt sound like you're actually interested in the whole reason to even make this list, only what is convenient for you, not the actual seller being solid and reliable.

Im sure I'm not alone in thinking this, that you would have gotten much more responses and contributions over the couple of weeks this thread has been active if it was centered on reputable reliable seedbanks.

I left it on the list, but get over it. CSI is very much a less safe transaction due to his payment method.. He may have the goods, but you have no recourse as a consumer if something goes wrong. Sorry you aren't understanding this, but the basis for a valid source is something I can vouch for....me, not you dude. I can vouch for a business that uses Visa and MasterCard.l without ever having purchased from them. If you send them your money they will send you what you ordered. If not, charge back. Hemp is legal and the banking industry is allowed to service hemp distributors. Again, no excuse for not having that element. Good rep doesn't beat proper legal recourse when you don't have first hand information.
