hemp is legal. seeds are hemp. it's all good now.
Its risky if youre growing in an illegal state, and you have any kind of criminal record for growing weed. Especially Federal charges. Not worth the risk to me, especially after Ive already done 12 years with the feds.
I would never used a Debit Card. No fucking way. I also use my dead great uncles name. He would be 113 now. Born in 1913. Died in 2006.

i don't know of any states where hemp is illegal. it's super weird you think what you do. In 2003, sure...2023 wow.

People love quoting that DEA letter, but don't actually understand it. It doesn't mean nearly what you think it means (in short, the situation the DEA attorney was referring to was sales of seeds from one licensed hemp producer to another, it's all based on state regulation of the hemp industry).

Oddly enough Idaho was apparently the last state to legalize the production of hemp, in 2022.

It's feeling like there are diminishing returns to be had continuing to discuss this issue, but I'll say this, people who only do business with breeders and banks that accept CCs are missing out. I understand some people feel more comfortable with the added protection, but it cuts out a few top quality seedbanks and breeders who come through with the goods time and again.

It aint looked on as hemp once its germinated in Kentucky.
Or try it in Florida.. where I am located, 20 grams of shake or buds or anything in your possession is a felony, let alone growing or anything.

The penalties here for growing were typically based on plant count, and if you have a SOG or similar style grow, with more small plants, it can be a decent amount of time in prison.

Pretty sure these days they are just giving a lot of people 5 years sentence, with $5000 fine, but my buddy got busted for an outdoor guerilla grow here in the late 90s, and he only did about 3 years but still, to me, thats a lot of time I just don’t have to waste.

So in my location discretion is key. I love the idea of mailing cash like the old days, and not having a digital copy of my seed purchases that can be easily traced or looked up.

But I am definitely guilty of using the banks that offer CC options a few times just to try it out, but I don’t feel comfortable doing that consistently in the future like I do with mailing cash to a breeder direct like CSI or AK bean brains or even a bank like GLG or similar.

Patience is huge, especially when buying seeds as you will be growing for months and maybe even years if you find a keeper you like.

I think many people are getting used to the convenience of plastic and quicker times to get the seeds but maybe I’m just a bit old school

When I first started buying seeds, there weren’t CC options or CashApp or anything like that, and you had to take the risk of mailing your cash, and being very patient receiving the seeds…

I'm a little confused why OP didn't put down whether a bank accepts electronic forms of payment or not (given their apparent fixation on that element), rather than putting down whether they're resellers or OP's opinion of their pricing. I didn't really want to go through racking up a bunch of cookies from some random banks so I looked at two: one classified as expensive (Labyrinth), and one classified as cheap (Brokeboy). On the former's site I checked out the pricing on one of the breeders I've purchased from in the past (Doc D aka Magic Spirit) and the pricing was standard for Doc D's gear, $50 for a 10 pack ($5 per seed). On Brokeboy's site a person can buy 1 seed for $13, or 6 for 51 ($8.50 per seed). Just on the face of it Brokeboy does not appear to be cheaper. Sure, there's apparently a 35% discount on top of that, which does make it under $3 per seed, but one of those seed cos is from one of the most respected people around, and one is from... I don't know who? Some person without much of a rep, which makes their statement of lineage pretty questionable.

It looks like you're favorable to some of the bigger places that offer lots of fem beans. It's mindblowing that GPS isn't on your list considering it's right up your alley, and offers CC payments.

Not everyone is looking for fem beans, or the latest cookie cross, and you have no choice but to deal with the banks that the breeder deals with if they don't sell direct. That's the main thing that should dictate which banks you buy from. Of course, known scammers should be put on blast, but otherwise I'd feel comfortable dealing with everyone on that list, and I haven't heard of a bunch of these.

they all do except the strainly/direct email stuff....and CSI. that is it. I only included them after others requested. all other have cc payment, as it was the criteria initially. will update later. i might even add other types of payment: btc, online check, etc.

hemp was legalized, just like alcohol. if your state has a specific law against hemp i can't help you much or accommodate really. if you are selling seeds while living one of those places that would be very unwise. if you are doing weed in those places, that would be unwise...just move away from those jerks. if you want live in a dry state/county that was always up to people that live in those places. most states just have laws against marijuana which is quite a debatable term given the absence of proper testing facilities. where i am from you would need to get a lawyer and will probably lose your plants if caught. currently, possession charges are being thrown out since they can't prove it is marijuana via lab. if you want your stuff back you have to prove it's not marijuana which probably not go well. i have sorted this for family members that had a run in with the police in the past couple years....it all went away, but you do lose some to the bail bondsman and the impound and maybe $5k on a lawyer you ended up not needing.

Actually, they do not. Great Lakes Genetics doesn't accept electronic forms of payment, and neither does Headie Gardens. It comes up a lot because a lot of people (including myself) are pretty dedicated to GLG and they almost always have the best prices on Bodhi gear (plus ridiculous amounts of freebies) so they get recommended to people all the time, but there are some people who really don't like the cash only thing (you are most certainly not alone in that). Headie Gardens is also a great bank, but their pricing isn't quite as hard to resist as GLG's.

Dude. Some people have been working at their jobs for years. Decades in many cases. People cant just pull up and leave where they live. Thats unrealistic. When it comes down to it, some things are more important than weed. And I can tell you from personal experience that if youre in Ky, and caught with 6 or more plants, its a felony, and in Ky, the laws are strictly enforced. Im also a retired law clerk, and can tell you all kinds of people in Ky have gone to prison for marijuana cultivation. I had a 12 year federal mandatory minimum marijuana convction, ( 1997-2009 ) and I dont want any type of electronic trail leading back to me. PERIOD. No ifs, ands, or butts about it. Though at the moment Im not doing anything, but I do supply 2 buddies with genetics, ( clones/seeds ) lights, and help pay half of the electric bills. I wont tell what I get out of it. Ive also been in cahoots with these 2 guys since 1980.

Because if they get fingered those options may no longer be available. Not everyone is willing to mail cash

if you ordered by online you have an electronic trail...even if you pay with cash. so....there is a but here....unless you go in person.

i must have missed. i will put them somewhere next to csi with perhaps a tag. not useful to me, but perhaps someone else can benefit. just reviewing the banks took hours and it was a weak attempt. good point though and that is why i asked for people to say if they agreed or not.

headie gardens doesn't seem to list seeds anymore....so they are a no go.
