Bought a cheap digital ballast off ebay and got a knock from the cable company. Apparently my place had such high rf interference that it was messing up people's cable, ham radios and this personal airport right by me. Luckily the guy looked like an old hippie but when he was outside shutting certain cables off I unplugged the ballast and he figured it was something he did. Said I was lucky he came over before the fcc said something.

Flooded several floors at several houses

Got pm and aphids at the same time and had to scrap everything

Got raided and got a felony for manufacture/delivery

Probably more I can't think of now
That raid business sounds like fun times for sure. Fuck.

Last year a mthhead tried to outrun a cop on a dirtbike and wrecked infront of my house. His girlfriend ran off into my backyard while the guy was stuck in a thorn bush. So like 20 cops pulled up and thoroughly searched my property for around an hour. I have never sweated so hard. Luckily my plants were still in veg or I wouldn't be here right now to tell the story.

zip ties don’t last because of heat
i use the hooks off of cheap bungy cords they fit the frame rails of the tent perfect, light weight dog chain makes it adjustable no rot problems, made my light s hooks from coat hangers pinch the ends shut ,no more falling lights or timers!

Got Covid pretty bad last year and lost a crop mid flower to not having the energy to keep my reservoirs full. That sucked pretty fucking hard, especially being my first try at a big flower room 10x10 4000w. God that fucking sucked. I lost a lot of money on that. Bouncing back took a minute. Ain’t trying shit like that again tillI’m more secure in my finances. Almost there now though, perpetual multi tent grows with mostly led now is far more manageable.

I never got busted or robbed at gunpoint like my other buddy did so I consider myself lucky. That incident gave me ptsd. But I got over it and took it as a learning exp. A great lesson is that this plant is meant to be enjoyed and shared not grown for profit and greed. She will bestow her karma upon you, good or bad depending how you treat her.
I know it sounds fucked up. But ever since I gave that all up I'm in a really good spot now in my life in all aspects really and I believe she gave me good karma now that I treat her the way she should be treated. Gifted, given to friends who aren't as fortunate. Share with people who use/need it for medical reasons.
getting robbed sucks, it’s part of the game though. Best thing to do after is cut off the mf that set it up. If I get robbed at gun point walking back from someone’s house I know what’s up and ain’t gonna fuck with that mf no more.

The only notable mistake ive made was not monitoring my temps/humidity on my first grow, about 10-12 years ago. Single plant of Master Kush under a 400w HPS in a relatively small closet, and i basically fried the terps right off it, yielded 5oz of bud that nobody wanted including me lol.

Years back when I was growing in a basement at another house the cops were looking for someone and were all over the neighborhood climbing over fences etc... They came through the yard with a dog and I was concerned because I had been tossing all the scrap after trimming in a garden spot in the yard. This was before legalization. As soon as things calmed down I was out back with a shovel burying everything.

I've never had the pleasure. People tend I not fuck with me. I have been robbed $20 before but more like they never came back with the bud or money. Oh I did have someone tell me they were "robbed" when I know for a damn fact they bought meth with my money instead of weed.

I just remembered that a week or so earlier I had thrown a bunch of defoliated leaves into a little section of woods in the middle of my yard. That was too close. Burying everything is a good idea.

Vegged for 3 months, didn't train properly. Dropped a 480 watt light on it. Running an auto in the same tent as photo. Got mites bringing outside plants in. 80% rh in late flower. Bought shitty tent.

I made a lot of extra work/unnecessary headaches for myself and got to practice critical thinking and problem solving :dunce:

All of my shit is handled, plants healthy and yield looking promising. I was punching above my weight class and it barely worked.

I dug in manure in new beds, top dressed with amendments, chicken manure, and leaf mulch. Then I added benefits microbe mix and compost teas, clover, loads of other cover crops. really put a huge amount of love and effort into creating what would go on to be no till beds (excepting the initial digging). I planted out some beautiful transplants into it, they grew into majestic plants. monsters.

And then they all came down with powdery mildew. All 28 of them. 2 weeks from harvest. It just ripped through them like a freight train.

Drones changed everything
Once they had eyes in the skies our corn game was pretty much over. And there's no way to find out who it was.

Going to Amsterdam for a week just to come back and discover the plant roots grew so much they totally blocked the drainage so the feed water i pumped to drips filled the raised tables then formed 30 cm lake on the floor (i waterproofed the whole thing just in case) then rushing in with a bucket only to be almost killed by the electrical wires still in the water. Plants were still fine tho :D

I had a light break it’s cable on one end, mowed down one of my plants till it was sideways, the plant made it thru.

Grew in the summer here, not good at that time of year, had to axe my plants 7 weeks in flower because my RH was in the 70-90’s and I was getting condensation build up. My sips also stunk bad. It was a choice the house and mold or the plants, it was an easy decision but a tough one.
