    The AeroGarden

Hendrixsklz... I got my 2nd aero today and am going to do clones. I have mothers (hopefully) growing in soil. I am planning on using rockwool cubes to start the clones in, cut down to a size that will fit into the plastic holders that come with the seed kits. Question is, what are you...

    The AeroGarden

Here's my update...I need to pull them this weekend, if not sooner. The weekend provides privacy. Im curious to see how much it'll be, weight wise. Here's some back up, since I haven't posted in a while. Planted seeds in aero nov 5 moved to cabinet under hps to flower using fox farm got...

    Aerogarden v3.0

I got two males too, out of the 7. I've got one more that looks like it could be male, but thats not entirely clear. The other 4 are definately females. I took the 2 males, put them in another room, in soil, and am using a small grow light on them. They seem to be taking... ...I just...

    CO2 Injection Question

Here's a question. I'd like actual experience over educated guesses... Can CO2 be injected into the water of a hydro system instead of simply releasing the gas into the air? Basically, you would keep the roots rich in CO2 in their confined space? Here's a link that may explain this more...

    1) HPS = high pressure sodium bulb 2) I have to disagree with Tek on the co2...have a look at this link... [The Krib] CO2 & Water Hardness Slightly different situation, but applicable all the same. The article is about water plants. But, growing this in the aero makes it defacto water...

    The AeroGarden

OK, short update. I have them under HPS, biggest one is 17 inches, not counting roots. I created a little CO2 generator (2 liter bottle, water, sugar, and yeast) and ran the tube into the basin of the aero. I figure the roots can take in the co2 and the co2 should be pretty well trapped in...

    The AeroGarden

Trying to upload pics but it aint workin'...I'll keep trying. Here's my update. Started them on 11/5. Removed the aero standard light and moved it into my grow cabinet on 12/5 (due to my recent acquisition of some real seeds). The uninsulated attic turned out to be too cold so I got a space...

    The AeroGarden

Those pics were taken yesterday. They are 4 weeks from seed today, germinated in the aero. Except for the baby, all are in the 6-9 inch range... ...and I still haven't moved them into the cabinet setup with hps. They seem to be just showing sex now and its looking like the skunkiest one is...

    12/05/06 aerogarden update with pics

My roots were brown...then red. I realized I had too much rust in my water. Now I'm filtering the water before I put it in (using a brita thing).. Plant looks good. Know what kind it is??

    The AeroGarden

Ok, I started using the foxfarm nutes on Friday. The things have grown incredibly since then. I am going to have to raise the hood again (i also decided to hold up on moving to the HPS in order to increase my choices for clones). As for smell...mine are starting to smell now. Rather, ONE...

    The AeroGarden

Considering the growth rate of the aero vs soil, id say soil is a better choice for the mother. You want her to live long, grow slow, and stay in a veg state. Why waste the power of the aero on that? Use it to do clones in less time. It's not the mother we be smokin after all...

    Emergency/Short-term setup for germinated seeds!?

What about putting em in soil until you had a system. Then wash the roots and transplant from the soil when you're ready.
