YUUUUP called it: male!
Bummer, BUT I’m going to use him to pollinate a branch of my female Blue Bubble so very excited about this prospect. Between this and inside work, I plan to continue this line of Bushy Old Growers(BOG).
I always lightly pollinate my plants, both indoors and out. But especially outdoors! I think the fact that we can legally begin to better acclimatize cannabis to our individual regions, bodes well for the diversity and quality of boutique cannabis for everyone.

So here it is, sweet Cheesequake pollen!!

20220819_173652.jpg

I used an old <new > canvas still in plastic, and drooped the tops over, worked great. Put it in a thick magazine paper triangle folded up in a, err, certain way.
Contestants to cross are; Waziri, Putang, Superbud, Jack Herer, Blue Dream, 'The Mutant', a 10 footer that may be Tirah, still have to find my stupid map.
Jack Herer Auto appears to be re-budding, with thick white pistils sprouting everywhere.
SuperSkunk plants are bushing out as they are presently tied almost laterally, will def pollinate them if I have time.
ECSD and KushMint are pushing up, very easy to tell them apart, no hanky panky with those seed packs. Hoping they do ok, they're trying like hell.
After aggressively stripping the lower branches, the tops are starting to show the results of it, energy points are focused on the tops, and I am liking what I see so far.

The first of the two Sholgar males declared almost a month before the Rustam Kush male did. The female Rustam Kush are slow too - wish me luck getting them finished by Halloween!
Do the Sholgar grow big? I found my map, my Mutant may be a Superbud, or a seed I got from ahhhh, friend, lol. It's so tall, but no signs of budding yet, very much like your Rustam Kush. I'm almost certain it's a female. Should I top the center once it's over 10'? Hate to see it throwing all that energy into the one center spire when it can be redirected onto several main energy points.

Out of 4 Sholgar one male was big and the female I accidentally topped would have been somewhere between 7 and 8 feet too. Nothing like the 15 footers last year though lol

If you’re going to top your mystery plant I’d do it ASAP so the remaining branches can take the additional light and resources to stretch and stack up as much as possible.

Damn is it me? Or is it late for males to be showing? Seems late.
It’s funny, I’m thinking the same thing. ALL of my Blue Bubble’s showed sex approx 2 weeks later than my feminized plants. It’s like they knew what they were from the beginning and just started getting down to it as early as possible. They showed pre-flower very early as well.

Hoppy looks happy, hope she munches any bad bugs for ya!

Knocked up a couple bitches yesterday -

Got a nice thunderstorm that dumped at least an inch of rain just now after decent showers much of the day, this girl was so hot to trot to get wet she reacted by going head down ass up, moaning for a back shot…

Do you think the rain washed the rain off your work? Will you repollinate asap?

It all washed off, got somewhere between two and three of rain. But the pollen was easily on there long enough to knock up those bracts that were ready for it. Proof will be when white stigma attached to impregnated bracts turn dark. I’ll re-pollinate the next time couple times there’s a dry forecast for a bit.

Was actually a little sad to yank this monstah Rustam Kush leaf today, but when you’re brown during flower season you got cooties and you gotta go! Opening up the middle helps airflow against rot too. I’m sure the hash farmer who grew this strain doesn’t bother stripping dying leaves in his field, but he has nice dry falls to see his harvest home and I don’t lol

Here’s another fan from another Rustam Kush, leaner than the first but still long fronds -

Sholgar main fan leaves were much smaller. Overactive brain now wondering if there is a correlation to it flowering way earlier than the Rustam Kush and leaf size.

Culling the last late start males. Topped Large Marge at about 9 ft. She is furring up nicely, and the bottom Stripped Putang and Waziri and others are much further along for late August, I definitely have some mid-september sized colas.
Rain has been booming here, a two day sog-fest. After so long so dry, I'm out there shaking them off in between downpours.
