Goddamn Downpour today! My poor babies!

starting to notice spots of bud rot popping up mostly on a single plant thus far…

I’m really looking forward to my blueberry muffins and blue bubble, but I’m growing sativa-leaners Next season so I don’t have to bite my nails over bud-rot this time of year.

My sativa-leaners went till end of October fine hardly a spot of rot and were my most liked strains.
Why-oh-why do I do this to myself ?!?

going out with gas blower this evening I think.

My girls got the lean going on after this storm. The top meaty colas shot up pretty high through the trellis netting and are laying side ways on it.
The netting definitely saved me some snapped stems. I'm gonna get some 10ft rebars and see what needs to be done tomorrow morning.

Also: do you guys ever think we will legally be allowed to grow more than 12 plants?

I would love to grow 20+ haha
Do you need more meds? 12 plants is a lot to work with. I know if I did a big basement veg before going outside, 3# plants would be attainable.

I had (2 of 3) Puna Diesel ladies (Sativa dominant… and behind the other (4) ladies) that were exasperated due to a multitude of toppings and not being fully tied to the bamboo posts now that they’re carrying formidable buds… I don't scrog, but again in hind sight should’ve here, some of those tops are getting heavy  spent some time this morning tying off those bent, but not snapped branches while in the downpours but the good news is they’re ultimately happy now. I started seeing a little more bud rot yesterday (grrr!) and suspect todays rain will lead to more and I’m sorry, but “shaking” the ladies at their current height is less than effective but of course I still do it… (I use a stand up fan too, but still less than impressed with the results) ;) And of course we got cooler temps in the mid 40’s coming in tonight adding to the dream! :bigjoint:

No, not at all: I simply enjoy growing them that much,

Rained hard here today, glad I staked them before the last storm. Getting a little rot here and there; nothing that isn’t manageable.

Starting to look at trichomes through the jewelers loupe. The Sholgar are around 30-40% milky; thinking done in 2-3 weeks -

Waziri Repros getting it done, thinking 3 weeks -

Balkhi Repro in the same ballpark as the Sholgar -

The Rustam Kush slowpokes though…Halloween? Veterans Day?

And what were those rot resistant strains again, pray tell? Always looking o-o

First of all, p59, where the hell was it that sunny at 740am in MA? Lmao, (looking good, p) Second, 7Card and Warfox, this rain has been brutal on the Alpha Patch, too. Plants look like a bunch drunken donkey dicks, two plants
fell over, Lil one and a Big one. Had more yarn than the broken loom scene in 'Wanted'. Was out using green plastic coated rebar with a hammer in the middle of a storm when I realized, I'm in a Potpatch with a hammer and basically lightning rods during the middle of a storm.
PROS: Used a fungicide and it worked good so far, don't want to blow it up before end results, but I will say this. While others are pulling their crops because of rot, I'm not having that issue yet.
Yet.
So while the fungicide worked great, I decided to one up. Got a 3 in one, for spidermites which fucked up a plant.
Spraying that shit turned my trichomes brown. Maybe just a bit too hot? But research said that could be expected. Still little to no rot.
So now, heavy rain, heavy tops, messy garden.
Solution, use netting and a advanced support program, along with the fungicide program. I'll keep you posted.
PS I was pissed because I'd just introduced a higher potassium fuel, my buds was purpling up nice, and now I'm just praying to make it to some sunshine, to see how bad the damage actually is.
5 weeks is a long fucking ways away.

This might help in the rot resistent department! Dutch Blooms is 5 miles south of Canada in Wash state and grew some plants that ultimately became part of this strain! Here is the story. https://www.regenerativeseeds.com/shop/house-of-selection/__trashed-2/

And here is where you can buy some at a better price.

I'm actually growing these outdoors this year in Oklahoma. If you want, I can go get some pics later today. They are the loudest plants in the garden!

Ok, rain stops and now got cold wind gusts to 20mph in Central MA this morning. Good news is I don’t have to worry about drying those ladies off after all that driving rain. Better news is that I think I finally have everything tied down efficiently as the “bend but don’t break” policy in place here is being honored too… so far! Lol :bigjoint:

obviously I did not do a proficient enough job staking this year as this morning wind snapped a bunch of limbs.

Will try to tape em up, but I guess this isn’t terrible maturity if I have to pull it.
I feel ya Warfox… I’ve had to tie a couple of my ladies down to my deck rails in two places to keep them upright. Nothing broke but some of those ladies are definitely doing some deep knee bends. Top colas are bending over at about 45 degrees and that’s while tied off to their bamboo poles… geez. I haven’t seen one of those bamboo poles snap before, but man their being tested! Lol ;)

Yea Warfox, wind was wicked, I've had one poor plant that's been knocked over probably 7 times. Should just tie it to something. Wind did do a good job drying shit, gonna be 37°F at 7am.
Late October harvest is starting to look like a negative. Weather better straighten up or I believe everyone with plants outdoors is looking at a 50% loss. Or preharvest of a less than desired finish.
Time to tighten the belt, this is where we separate the patient from the non risk takers.
Damn, wish the girls were hanging already.

PVOG it’s all about B.t. one day, H2O2 the next: lather rinse repeat. Detailed daily inspection of every plant. Expect losses and manage them - you’ve got literally hundreds of bud sites on each plant, so losing one or two per day is acceptable. Worst two plants I ever had, I still managed to get 90% of the flower off of them. It can be done.
