After noting the influx of crazy ideas to push cannabis grows , i wanted to start a thread to have everyone post the most widely spread myths / methods you have to share.

No matter how ridiculous. Let’s finally get to the bottom of those old hippie ways / internet bullshit / friends told me / unicorn tears kind of misinformation . Should be fun.

Lets do this .

Love it man. You should make the poll unanimous though if you want honest answers, lol.

I was just kidding man, it would actually be funny to see who has done it. I'd love to see @Renfro 's name in the BroScience "Yes" poll. But this is great. I just added myself to the Yes list.

I gotta admit I do partake in a little Broscience. I talk to my plants and tell them they're doing great and look beautiful.

Like "Hey you girls look beautiful, keep it up ladies." Or "Sorry baby, you'll be OK".

Sorry, I have many saying that I use. I like to tell them to be good too, so I'll say, "OK, you ladies be good".

I think they hear me man, lol.

I’ve put a yes because I have taken part in bro science activities in the past.

36 hour dark to switch to 12/12 to trigger flowering response quicker lol lmao.

72 hour dark at the end to increase THC lol.

flushing for 2 weeks (did this in coco and it didn’t end well lol)

this is why my answer is yes to the poll lol.

I’m sure everyone at some stage has done some bro science.

I tried yelling a mine like Henry Rollins on a bad day "Grow, grow, grow!!!", even shake 'em a little. I think they appreciate the attention.

Edit: Cumbia music works as well, either the electronic dance version or the folky unplugged stuff. Tricks them into thinking they are nearer to the equator. (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3GqHw6y0KbiIgRASdN3z8A?si=zvDm--feScK1rmL7AwG2ug)

Once sprayed/soaked a full plant with spiritus (99% alcohol) to get rid of spidermites. Read that tip at a growforum, that "it wouldnt harm the plant" ...
next day the leaves all were white bleached, the plant totally fucked up... it nearly died... and the mites came back... :/
How about "5 Tbsp of Dawn per Litre of water"?

actually this does work... btw Dr. Who expressed the opinion that the standard 12/12 pattern is crap... you need a night longer than the day, for proper flowering

I do 24h full light then 36h darkness then continue 11/13... after 3-5 days you see already the flower buildup...
but with 12/12 from 18/6 it generally needs 1-2 weeks to make this transition

Nothing wrong with that, especially when you're focused on mixing chemicals.

A good Bach or especially Vivaldi is great while processing things. Nothing like an acoustic earful of beauty while accidentally creating Silver Nitride ;)
Personally tried Beethoven and Bach, got the middle finger after.....
