Hi, I appreciate your response. I should have clarified that this is for outdoor and I am looking for a large quantity of affordable high quality soil.
I am thinking I will need about 600 gallons worth of soil or about 80 cubic feet worth, if my calculations are correct.
I can get 2 cu ft bags of coast of maine organic potting soil around here for about $8 per bag. You will need to amend it with fertilizer. You could call around and see if any gardening centers carry it, ordering by the pallet might be cheaper. Probably even cheaper to get a few bales of peat moss, compost, perlite and mix it yourself.

Western mass grower;

this years game plan for outdoors is go big or go home

running 60; 30 gallon fabric pots.
medium is a high end compost/loam mix from a local producer. adding perlite for aeration at about 20-30%. Amending with bone meal, blood meal, and a few other minor thing dont need much, plus adding mycorrhizae. During veg i'll be running compost teas and fish shit. Come flower ill top dress with bat guano and use mammoth P.
Strain wise, i have 10 plants that are all new strains im growing from seeds. 50 will be established tested clones of strains ive run before.

i know 30 gallons are on the smaller side for outdoor but i dont plan on putting them out til about the first week of june and im only shooting for 1/2-3/4 a pound per plant.
I've also got an exemption for grow size thanks to the legal grey areas that the Cannabis Control Commission has established.
Go get em BThorn,Every year as i get older and tireder,my grow keeps getting bigger, last year50 adult females(not size of yours) and over 220 clones,so much WORK,especially if you put in the TLC these ladies demand at times, always adding new strains to keep excitement up,and always loyal to those strains that have proven to me that they are winners.Labor of love I guess LOL.ccguns

I'm not sure about the rest of you guys, but I'm so ready to move on from 2020. It was a great season from a growers perspective ... most of us had more time at home to spend in the garden, and we had outstanding fall weather ... but everything else pretty much went to shit, and so I'm excited for 2021.

As usual, I learned a few new lessons from last year...

The first is I definitely need help when it comes to harvesting and trimming in the fall. I tried to do it all myself this year and it was a complete nightmare. I basically spent 6 weeks straight trying to get everything down and cleaned up... and I still probably only got to about 50% of it. I froze the rest, and I'm still working on washing it all.

The second lesson I learned is that I don't need twelve foot plants this year. It's just stupid and too much work. This year I'll probably get them in the ground a little later (about may 15th) and just shoot for ten footers. ..lol

The third lesson is that I don't need any outside inputs whatsoever. Last summer I discovered KNF and I ain't going back. I can basically source every nutritional component my grow needs from my own backyard, or from waste. It may not be feasible for someone without some land to work with, but if you have some room it's a no-brainer.

The good news is that I've been through a few healthy snowfalls so far, and the greenhouse isn't going anywhere, it's still standing strong with the new steel hoops. That was last years lesson... don't ever, ever build a greenhouse with pvc hoops in Massachusetts. It'll be nice not to have to rebuild the entire thing this year, so I can move onto some upgrades. I'll be adding 4 circulation fans in all four corners so I can get the fans off the ground this year. I'll also be adding a watering system for each bed... watering every few days from a hose is kind of a pain in the ass. It'll be nice to just hit a button on my phone and that'll be taken care of. I'm also adding another window at the far end of the greenhouse... I originally framed it for a third window but only had two laying around at the time so I just covered it with plastic.

At the moment I'm pheno hunting indoors to find this years keepers. I have a few of my own crosses I'm searching through and a few new breeders i'm excited about. Everything will be new strains though, I'm not keeping anything around from last season.

What are your plans for 2021?

Here's what it looks like out there today....

I really like this set up. Can you tell us about the greenhouse construction? I'm looking to build a green house (similar in size on top of an existing 4' stone foundation that is 37' x 21'. How wide is this greenhouse? Did you use 1 11/2" EMT or could you recommend a kit? Clean setup, thanks for sharing.

hey bud, mine is about 30ft long X 16' wide ... i used 1.25" fence top rail and used a bender I bought from Bootstrap Farmer... it was so easy ... if you have questions about bending the hoops hit me up, I have plenty of pictures

What's your zip code roughly or one in a surrounding town? Only asking because I have a great soil connect that delivers by the yard. Pm me for details, but I'm in western mass out between Orange and Greenfield.

How sturdy is this with high winds? I wanna build something to keep the plants out of the rain but worried about the wind ripping it a part or worse. Throwing it airborn

Im 02777 Providence/Fall River region and I’m going to germinate 4/15 - 4/20 or so and transplant first week of June. That’s what I did last year and this is what I got View attachment 4870477
Really, I,m 02721,we are close, I keep/em potted so they don't get to mental,Don't want to use a ladder to check tops for BOTRYTIS LOL,but at least 1/2 my harvest is clone based, clone bud looks a little better IMO,and its way easier to trim. Can't do pictures cause I'm technology challenged.LOLccguns

It's sturdy as hell ... it's suggested to space each hoop 4-6' apart, but I went 3' .... also have 3 purlins running the length ... the plastic is secured with wiggle wire which is far and away the only way to lock down the plastic ... we had some massive micro-bursts last season with large trees down everywhere and it was never in any danger

not sure if you were around on the mass thread back in 2019, that's when I built it and I originally used PVC ... here's the result after the first snow of the year ... it was probably only a few inches of wet snow .... so don't use PVC, ever

Do you need to regulate temps on hot summer days? How's that work?
Yes, it warms up quick in the summer ... in the summer I leave all the windows open and have an exhaust fan controlled by a temp inkbird ... it kicks on at 90 degrees ... starting in early september I leave the fan running all day and at night it's controlled by a humidity inkbird ... I also close all the windows to just a crack and run a dehumidifier at night.. the fan rarely comes on at night

I’ll transplant first week of June as well - learned my lesson from my mid-May false start last year, when the plants rebelled against the chilly nights by turning purple and I had to dig them up and bring them back in for a while.

oh yeah forgot u had a legit greenhouse. I need a temporary structure. Just metal hoops and plastic sheeting to keep the rain away.

I can already see myself losing a lot to mold and PM.

Would love to build something like this but dont think the home owner would want this permanent structure. If I was my house fuck yeah! But im in Rhode Island. Home of the corrupt fucks not pushing for legalization so they can be the only show in town and keep their money train

I've very familiar with the beautiful state of ri, it's right next door ... if you're building it temporary you could just bend the hoops and drive some ground posts to set the hoops onto... leave the ends open and put a couple fans in there like a wind tunnel ... you could take it down or put it up in a couple hours

The link to the bender do u have any pixtures of yours? The pictures didnt make much sense. All they have is the 10ft anyways. I need something 14ft at least.

I also wonder if that satisfies MA law whdre has to be out of sight since the plastic is clear

Do you get any mold or PM with your setup...migbt be worth it...the person im helping is a carpenter so might be easy for him to construct

About how much was that wood base?

To be honest though they have grown the past 3 years out on the open and no one has complained. They used to have real cry babies behind them as well. Someone cooler moved there. They have had issues with theft though.
