Mmm, just ordered my fungicide, thought it a tad early, but once rot shows up, it takes its toll quickly. These were cut branches that had rot, so they had to go. Fortunately, still have about 75% of that plant, so I'll take it like that. I'm not a big fan of spraying my plants with anything, just my humble way. I did use BT once this year. Got a healthy population of assasin bugs to keep pests at bay. First time I'll be using a fungicide, this year, if I have to.
2nd outdoor grow, you say? Well, welcome friend. Just curious, I'm always trying to learn new stuff here, what do you mean when you say 'grower advantage times?' Like, after rain?
Thanks for checking out the pics. Hoping to have some better ones soon.
:peace:

Oh, shit. Didn't even see it was you Poco, til just now. Im bleary eyed, it's late. Lol.
Use BT every 14 to 18 days from start of flower. Look into BS also. I don't have the link now. But real new biologics. I suggest dish soap and vegetable oil foliar during vegetative growth. Copper fungicide every 10-14 days when temps start lowering to dew points.

Crazy PM outbreaks here again. And only in the garden. Girls are clean.

Prevention folks.

Once I see caterpillars I spray B.t. every 2-3 days and after every rainfall. If I start to see rot I’ll also dilute 3% peroxide with 3 parts water to 1 part peroxide and apply that, as it seems to help limit the spread of botrytis.

Yes I noticed a major difference between plants development this year also. I'm not sure if this is due to the heat, solar flares, or Nostradamus's predictions.
Not only an excellent job growing, some fantastic pics as well.
Are you using any sprays or chemicals? What you using for nutes? Your plants are friggin' beautiful man. Keep up the good work. And thanks for sharing!!

@PioneerValleyOG Thats correct… Proud 2nd year outdoor grower but a centennial tent grower indoors, where I’ve never had a need to spray even one of my ladies for anything except a light mist on a seedling. Last year was probably the worse year for an outdoor newbie to jump in given Mother Natures cruel weather grow season. I can’t ever remember being more irritated and disappointed with the amount of PM and bud rot in a grow. Not happy doesn’t even come close to my October demeanor. There’s just something nefarious about tossing main colas out when you realize the extent of the rot damage during trimming. Slows the trim process to a crawl, which is always to long in the 1st place imo lol and dashes your hopes on anticipated final yield. It was a huge eye opener as opposed to indoor and even though this year is pretty much polar opposite with heat and drought with only seeing my first signs of light PM the last few days and really only a cat or two to date, I learned from that weather last year and started doing a general fungicide/BT spray at the end of August. Though spraying 7’-8’ plants (just imagine spraying those 15’ @p59teitel had last year lol) on a step ladder with spray blow back isn’t my idea of a good time, (hat, face mask, goggles and long pants are required lol) I just think back to last years trim jail disappointments for my motivation! Timing isn’t scientific but I try to spray after substantial rains as you noted as others here have as well, but also during extended period days of sunshine when there’s no rain. Btw… I learn from folks like you on this site too… never used 10-10-10 in an indoor grow either but based on your yellowing leaf response have now used twice this year outdoors… during initial soil regeneration and now as a top dressing! Lol :)

Awesomesauce ! Only one thing I'm confused about. You say you've never had to spray anything on your plants, yet you do spray BT and fungicide. Did you mean you never sprayed your indoor grows? Are you a first time outdoor sprayer like me? Have a good day!

That’s exactly what I mean… I never ever need to spray indoors. I sprayed some outdoors last year too, but only learned of the real need to little to late as it turned out. (@bam0813 was kind enough to educate me on the finer points of his own outdoor prevention.) I swore I’d never let that BS happen to my girls again if I could help it. With that said… Sometimes, as I’ve heard from others, even your best efforts aren’t rewarded though when fickle Mother Nature waves her hands and dictates results! Lol :D But I digress, it’s another beautiful day in the ‘hood today, enjoy your day as well! :bigjoint:

Thanks,
I use BT and Spinosad. My nutes are: organic Garden Tone with included good bacteria, and langbeinite at beginning of flower.

Like everyone else, I seem to have a split of overachievers at this point… These (3) below: Mimosa/Orange Punch, Diamond Malt and Holy Grail. The new strain I tried specifically for the outdoor grow, (Puna Diesel) all (3) seem to be a about a week behind as far as stacking girth goes but still moving forward nicely as well.

Well, if it means anything, I've never ever sprayed anything on my plants, not once, until this year. I've kept it all 'organic' and just ate what the Good Mother dished out. Lost some prime bud, mostly to rot, or what I call 'PiderMites' . Was only I think 2 years ago I began washing my buds at harvest with h2o2. Was only 3 years ago I started using a 'dope scope' to look at my trikes, (the first year causing me to harvest too early.) I'm not gonna say how long I've been growing- long time, but it took a lot for me to embrace both technology and change. The saying the old ways are the best ways are sometimes true, however, you can't argue with science..
Grower's Ally Fungicide for Plants https://a.co/d/59kj8mX

Im going with these guys this year, also looking at Growers Ally Spider Mite Control, and the also have a 3 in one, which does, fungus, spidermite, and insecticide, Crop Defender 3 I think it's called. Will keep you all posted.
Btw, I was able to solve my yellowing issues, damage to my plants, get Alpha back on track with a 10-10-10, today ill start, (a bit late) with Fox Farms Bloom Booster. If I have to spray the fungicide, no idea how I'm gonna get Large Marges top, Homie don't do ladders since his life flight, but that's a story for another time.

See there ya go… never heard of “Garden Tone” before. I just looked it up and sounds good. Thanks! ;) Btw… from what I’ve been able to gather from what I’ve read, the Spinosad is more verbose from a general insect support perspective and also works on cats too… But the BT is set for target those bud choking cats but doesn’t have the longevity after applied that the Spinosad carries… just what I read.

The BT from what I've researched is specifically for cats n worms, and the spinosad is more all insect designed, I'm guessing , as I've worked with growers that utilize it, but I never have. I've always heard strong good things about it.
